KEVIN
Rose has calmed down. She was no longer crying. However, I think I preferred her to be crying instead of the daze look that she was in right now.
But, could I blame her?
No.
If I was in her shoes, I would have felt the same. Who would have known that this was how this night would turn out to be? I somehow regretted asking them out to dinner. If I did not meet with them, Rose and her friend would be back in their place, taking a good rest.
"I'm sorry," I said as the van came to a stop. We have finally arrived at the new location for Rhythm.
I watched Rose slowly shake her head, instantly refuting my apology. She did not even turn to face me.
"Don't blame yourself. You had nothing to do with it," she responded in a low voice.
