I squinted my eyes, guiding my right hand as I aimed the gun at an unknown target in front of me as I sat on my favorite spot in Shiro's residence; the roof.
My head wasn't in the game, though. I lowered my hand after a while, staring at the gun while my thoughts went back to what happened earlier.
In the end, I wasn't able to buy what I needed. My concentration was off. I never knew Paul had a daughter.
He had always been carefree and dated so many women that it didn't occur to me he had someone in his past.
From what I had known, his father and sister were no longer around.
"His reason," I murmured, finally seeing the bigger picture of that.
Like everyone else, Takahashi found his weakness. He needed Paul to take his side; hence, he threatened him using his innocent woman and child because it was already his nature to do such.
