MARGAUX
Tokyo was the capital for a reason and coming out into the streets made me not regret coming here.
The city was alive and for what it's worth, it looks like there was a festival. Food stalls littered the street and enticing smells of various delicacies wafted through my nose.
I wanted to play tourist just this once.
It was too tempting.
But I wasn't here to enjoy it. Neither did I come here for the Summer festivities.
I put on a smile despite not really feeling like it.
Purposely, I took this route to have at least a look around even though I wasn't here for the same reason everyone else around me was.
It wasn't a sin trying to lift my mood, right?
I blew out a sigh, blending in with the casual outfit I wore and the cap I had on to hide my face on public view at least.
Last time, I was too confident.
Last time, I wasn't alone.
And the last time, Mary was still alive.
