The next day morning came and I was sitting in the cell when one new warden called me for the unknown visitor. I got out from the cell together with the warden beside me. As I walked in the hallway all prisoners are intently looking at me. More of them did not care but there's a group of men in one cell that glares at me like I'm sort of an enemy. I can't help but feel nervous about the way they look at me. It sends shivers on my skin like they're up to something, or they want to beat me when I'm still in jail.
I arrive at the lobby which is for the visitors, where they visiting someone close to them were imprisoned. Hannah, Terrence, and Diana arrive at the police station to visit me. I forgot to mention that Sapphire is no longer with me because she's back to the Forest de Gilder to do something, back to the jail they were sitting in each one of the monoblock chairs with a long table together with someone which is I did not know who he is. When I got to close where they are, Terrence stood together with this man I think he's around 30's of age...
"Philip he is Attorney Jeron Bailey, he's the one who holds your case," Terrence said and mention this Attorney beside him.
"Attorney Jeron Bailey. Pleased to meet you, Philip Jackson." The attorney said he raised his hands to shake hands with me.
"The pleasure is mine, sir," I said. After we shake hands we sit in our chairs which is I'm in their opposite chair.
We begin to discuss my case which is rare because they were accusing me that I'm the one who did the disaster, which is impossible. Those disasters were made by nature then how is impossible for me to accused that? The answer is the video footage. They had evidence that was seen in the footage and they thought that I'm a mutant or something they called Experimentation Human Form or EHF. Which are they experimenting with the human body to create another life form or robotic human form? The attorney asked me a few questions regarding my case which is Hannah and Terrence already gave their testimony that I'm innocent and I always with them wherever I go. They also told them that it's just a coincidence that I was there when the disaster spread.
"I will do everything I can to help you but you need to tell me the truth so I can make up a plan which will be the lead for you to win in this case. And for the assault for those who are giving you a file wrong of accusation." Attorney Jeron said. I looked at Terrence and Hannah first if I had to tell them the truth. They gave me a sign which is "go-for-it" look. So I began to summarize everything to the attorney.
Every word I said his face frowned as if what I told him is not true that I told him was a makeup story. I can't blame him even though all I told him is true, it is too impossible that I can see Fates and that video footage is just an edited video. That I can change someone's destiny. He looks at me as if I wasn't really telling the truth or I'm making a story, but I remain my face into serious mode look. The attorney sighed and stood up where his seat.
"Okay, I may not believe in your story but I will try to investigate it first. Especially when it comes to making these twins and Diana superheroes. But I think the process of investigation will be done in almost two to three weeks or even after 1 month before I already find a solution to your case. But rest assured that I will do everything in my power to help you dismissed the accusation. Meanwhile, be careful here in the jail. There are rumors that there's someone here who has an inside job which is killing a prisoner." He said. Hannah was surprised at what she heard, she became worried to me I just nod but before the attorney leaves in the police station I hold his sleeves causing him to stop.
"Uhm, sir I know this is too much but can you do it a little bit faster? I mean, yes I'll be careful here but not all prisoners look at me as an ally. More of them look at me like I'm sort of an enemy that bargain into their territory. And I feel I'm not safe here so.." I said which reminds me of those prisoners in that one cell in the other railings
"If you want we can put someone that will guard you if whoever will ever harm you while you're still here in jail? Just to make sure that you are safe." The attorney asked and suggested me to send someone to look after me. But that makes me more scared if they knew that I got someone who's important that let me have a guardian while I'm still in jail. So instead of accepting his offer I refused and told him not to do that. It may trigger some prisoners to target me if they knew that I'm some kind of important person. The Attorney not and bade farewell after he leaves the police station, Hannah, Diana and Terrence stay where we are and they look at me with pity in their eyes.
"How are you, Philip? Sorry if we've been out lately and haven't visited you this past month." Hannah said and she held my hand.
"We're been busy this few months in the school then sometimes we're trying our best to defend you in their false accusation" Terrence added. I just nod at them then smiled.
"I met few prisoners here, I also dream their fates and in these past months they got released in prison because they finally gave their justice," I said.
"Most of them just like my case got false accusations for something they didn't intend to happen. But more of that they are good prisoners" I added.
"We promised you that we will do everything just to released you in prison as soon as possible," Hannah said. I smiled at her and nod as a response that I trust them.
"There's one thing we need you to know," Diana said. Then she looked to the twins, which they nod at her that gives her a signal to do something then Diana turned her gaze to me.
"The evidence was spreading all over to our school. It already spreading nationwide. Because of that, they dismissed you to our school" She said which makes me more surprised by the sudden truth. How does it happen? And the real question that stuck on my head was who made that footage?
I was about to ask them a few more questions when the warden interrupt us because it's time to go back to my cell. But before they leave, each one of them hugged me tightly after that the warden instruct me to go inside. The twins and Diana stay a little bit in the lobby until I get inside the railings before they leave the police station.
When I was walking in the hallway I notice one of the prisoners in the other cell was locked his eyes to me with a grin on his face. I don't know but I feel unsafe if I stayed here longer. I hope the case soon will reveal the truth. I have to get out of here or else I'm doomed.
When I get inside the cell I notice that I'm not in the right cell. I mean, I'm with other prisoners which I didn't know who are they. I looked to find where my cell and there's a few inches before my cell. What is happening? Why I'm in the wrong cell???
"Uhh--err, excuse sir, warden. I'm in the wrong railings." I said with a curious-looking on my face.
"Ohh sorry I haven't told you that every month we change all the prisoners to a different cell." The new warden said. Which made me pale. If I got the wrong cell it means I'm in danger. I was about to complain when someone put his hands into my shoulders that makes me jerk and nervous. I swallowed hard as I want to keep my distance from whoever this man put his hands over my shoulders. When I looked at him.
He was the man who glared at me like I'm some kind of enemy which is I know I'm in danger. My body glued to its place and made me pale in my position.
"Don't worry boy, If you did not make anything that makes my blood boil. There's nothing to worry about. As long as you obey my orders. And if you disobey me you will face the consequences while you're still here in the railings." He said then his lips curved into a grin like he has something in mind. I think he's threatening me I wanted to run and called out for help but I notice that all prisoners were not looking into our cell which is I know that there's no one has the courage to save me. I clenched my fist and I know that I'm still nervous when he removed his hands over my shoulders. I sighed but my fear hasn't gone, I have to endure this fear until we changed cell again.
