I'm still here in the jail, can't sleep even if the warden already told us to sleep but I don't want to. Maybe I can sleep in daylight but I don't want to sleep in the night, I might get nightmares again if I do that. Sapphire is still with me, she told me that I should sleep but I can't I remain awake in the corner of the railings which other prisoners are with me in one cell. I know they were all looking at me strangely, I think they were planning to kill me here. I'm still scared of that though I know that I shouldn't think that it might get into my nightmare or worst it will happen, I can't stop thinking of that. I never imagine that I would be one of the prisoners, is this a trial for me? But why should I receive this kind of trial?
Later on, one of the prisoners from the opposite cell called my attention. I don't want to look at him or talk because if I do that it might be the reason why they will beat me up till death if I made a wrong move. I kept silent when the warden hushes him, the prisoner looked at the warden and when he's gone he again tries to get my attention.
"Hey kid, why you get in jail? Did you kill someone?" He asked. The other prisoners looked at me and waiting for my answer. But I did not spoke until one of the prisoners together with me in the same cell approached and tapped my shoulders with his hand. I startle but I'm still trembling when I was still trying to move much closer in the corner just for them not to touch me. I bit my lower part of my lip just to contain not make a sound and not to cry.
"Hey don't worry, we won't hurt you. We just want to know why you're in jail" The other prisoner said. I looked at Sapphire which they didn't see her. She nods at me to tell me that I should talk.
"T-they a-accused me for s-something I didn't do," I said in a low and trembling voice.
"Oh... You're just like that guy Stein accused of rape but they never listened to his defense. There's no evidence that he's innocent, so he was imprisoned for almost 5 years up to now." He said.
"What is your case boy?" The other prisoner from the other cell asked.
"I-if I told you the truth, will you believe me?" I asked referring to them if they will believe me if I told them the truth.
"We will try boy. All prisoners tried to defend themselves but most of them were lies, and not all those defending are true. We will try to believe in you. We knew you won't lie to us it doesn't fit on your role after all." The other prisoner said. "By the way, I'm Brook." He added. Followed by the other prisoner which they introduce themselves to me. I met several prisoners (Brook, Stein, Buck, Greg, Ali, Jorge, Xander, Jack, and Tailor) I think not of them I will remember but now I feel safe with them.
Brook committed a crime in which he killed another man with his wife. He caught his wife with another man doing a sexual activity, and he was imprisoned for almost half a year. Stein was accused of the rape which he didn't intentionally commit because the girl was his Girlfriend but because she's underage that is why the family of the girl accused him of rape which is not true. He was imprisoned for almost 5 years up to now. Buck and Greg were robberies in the bank but they never intentionally killed the man in that said bank. One of their colleagues escapes he was the one who shot the man that cause that man to die which is they told him not to kill the man. So they have been imprisoned for almost a year now. Ali was the one who committed a crime that involves child abuse. He didn't intentionally harm his kids he was pissed off because of his wife leaving them behind and come along with the other man just like brook the difference is he always hitting his child. She leaves the kids with him and that pissed him off because he has nothing then his wife leaves them. I don't know how to react to his immoral attitude towards his child, the child has nothing connexion with their problems after all. But still, I never judge him he may be suffering from loneliness after his wife comes along with the other man. He was now imprisoned for 4 years. Xander, Jack, and Tailor are the victims here but because they don't have enough evidence to prove that they were innocent they were imprisoned for almost 10 years. These three are cousins, their case is they accused by the crime which involves killing the daughter of the prime minister. They said that they saw who's the killer but even if they told them the truth there's no evidence that they're accusing someone is the truth. They don't have any evidence to prove that they were innocent. Up to now, they are still imprisoned for the crime that they never did. What they told me is still a crime which makes them put in jail, not all of them are committed the crime but they are accused too by the wrong accusation.
I looked at first to Sapphire and asking if I should tell them about my case, She nod by giving me a sign that I should not lie to them. So I told them my case which is not good because they looking at each other like I wasn't telling the truth. Like I was making up stories.
"Uhh... Okay, so umm maybe we should sleep now. It's getting late." Brook said.
"You're not believing me are you?" I asked them.
"Well to tell you the truth, what you told us is impossible to happen. You don't look like a fortune teller or some kind of mutant or anything. And like what you said, no proof makes you innocent so how can we believe in your story if you can't tell the truth?" Brook said.
"I told you, I'm telling the truth! My friends know I'm telling the truth I made them heroes which they can save the people" I said which makes them burst to laugh.
"Sorry what? Heroes? You're too obsessed with Heroes, aren't you? That is just your imagination kid, you should sleep properly so you can't make up stories like that." Ali said.
I was about to complain when the warden hit the railings that make us sleep.
"Sorry kid, but what you told us is unbelievable," Xander said then they sleep. I sighed, I know it's hard to make them believe me but I guess I should use to it. What I told them is unbelievable so I won't judge them.
They fell asleep but I, still awake. Maybe I will sleep if sunrise. The warden notice that I'm still awake, he offered me a coffee and I gladly accept it. The warden sits next to our cell and talked to me.
"Kid, I heard what you told them sorry for eavesdropping I just wondering why did you get imprisoned." The warden said.
"It's okay warden, and it's true what I told them but I know that my story wasn't buying so I just let them not believe me," I said referring to them.
"But if that is the truth, can you really see the future, can you tell me my destiny?" The warden asked.
"I can't, I'm afraid that I get nightmare if I dream about your destiny in the night. I mean in my case I get nightmares by sleeping at night but if I sleep in the morning it should not be nightmares. Those tragedies I dream about that. How they will die, how they will suffer. I'm afraid it will turn into a nightmare if I dream about your destiny." I said.
"Okay, I won't force you to know my destiny but I just want to know what will happen in my future. If my rank will be raised or not." The warden said. I looked at him and sighed maybe I can see his future without getting nightmares.
"Okay warden I will try to find out what your destiny is. But it will only work if I sleep." I said. He smiled nod and thanked me.
I slept on the mat in the corner of the cell and try to look about his fate, Sapphire was not there I wonder where she is but I just dismissed it maybe she just went outside to go to the bathroom. Later on, I fell asleep on the floor and trying to look about their futures.
