"Oh, man, I can't believe it, this is seriously for real!" Exclaimed Mitchell excitedly.
"It sure doesn't feel real...," Muttered Hebi in disbelief.
"Come on, I already told you guys this was happening," I sighed in exasperation.
"Yeah, I know, but still! To see it confirmed in an official capacity is just so freaking surreal, dude!" Responded Mitchell gleefully.
"What he said, I can't believe we're Aces!" Added Hebi eagerly.
Today's the 16th of April, and these two had just been officially promoted from K-Ranks to Aces. And, well, they were over the moon about it. They'd been pretty shocked when I told them before, but they were practically bursting with delight now that it was official.
It's been a pretty hectic few days this past week or so...this promotion aside, Zera's recommendation had been finalized, and as of yesterday evening, she was officially a member of my squad.
