Who is that? I don't recognize her. Either way, I've never seen a power like this, the ability to control plants...or at least, the roots of plants. And the fact that her attack worked means...she's an Anomaly.
Right, that explains it...when Anomaly powers clash, they negate each other, and can't directly affect another Anomaly. When that root struck the Wight, his invisibility and intangibility were undone, but so was the force controlling the root, that's why it went limp when it struck him.
However, the momentum through the root wasn't negated, and that's why he got sent flying back. So, there's no doubt about it, the woman down there is an Anomaly.
There are five Anomalies in the Sanctuary, of which, I've met four. Kilzachs, of course, then there's the Aces Johan Grantz and Sakura, and that bastard Yugi.
