Chapter 54 - One Hit Kill

Chu Chen was slightly angered. That was his first pretty lady 'pet'. If she were to have died like that, it would have been a big waste!

Leng Qianxue nodded contemplatively. Of course she would not have related it to being owned by a master. Instead, she had been thinking about how her life had belonged to her father.

Chu Chen did not have the time to have continued reprimanding Leng Qianxue as the wild and destructive aura had condensed to its utmost. If the snow python released that spell, all in the vicinity would have perished with none capable of escaping!

At that instant, Chu Chen had no time to talk. He picked up the Divine Snow Prison Sword that Leng Qianxue dropped nearby. With a quick move, he transformed into a grey blur as he charged right at the snow python!

"Junior Brother Chu! Don't be rash, come back!"

In the distance, Senior Sister Qing Yue who had been by the edge of the cliff ready to have jumped down exclaimed in shock when she saw that Chu Chen had rushed at the snow python without a care for his own life. Meanwhile, those disciples from the Secret Sky Sect around the snow python had all been dumbfounded as they looked at him.

"There's no time. Let's run!"

"What's he doing?"

"Go save Eldest Miss!"

The destructive aura in the air had almost fully condensed. At that rate, they understood that they would have been completely decimated if they had not killed the snow python immediately.

Whoosh!

Chu Chen dodged a deadly scale attack shot forth from the snow python with an amazing speed. The white flash of light brushed past him by a hair's breadth as it was launched into the snow. With a loud bang, a snow pillar shot up having reached a several dozen feet.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Beam after beam of deadly white rays were evaded by Chu Chen's elusive footwork. That terrifying speed and destructive power had continuously missed Chu Chen by a hair's breadth. He had actually been consistently getting nearer to the snow python's body.

"Just who is this guy?"

"That's crazy. Everything missed."

"I just saw one hitting him, but then he disappeared the very next instant. Is he a spirit?!"

To the crowd, Chu Chen seemed to have been making his way forward easily. In fact, his spiritual consciousness had been pushed to its limits.

All his thoughts were suppressed. The entire world around him disappeared. Beam after beam of the white rays of doom narrowly missed him. All that remained had been the vicious snow python before him and the wildly destructive aura condensed to a single point in the python's mouth.

At the core of that incredible condensed aura was a red Fatal Point that glowed brightly!

After having dodged another wave of scale attacks, it had been time!

Chu Chen's gaze focused. Just as the colossal snow python completed its spell and tried to have released its breath, the sword in his hand transformed into a scorching beam of light, having burst forward in an instant. It shot straight at the bright red Fatal Point on the snow python's body!

In an instant, the massive snow python that emanated a terrifying destructive aura paused suddenly. Just like a balloon that had been pierced, the snow python's head exploded! Around them, a huge wave of white light spread forth and flooded the entire cliff!

At the critical moment, Chu Chen managed to kill the snow python in one hit!

Although he had nullified the terrifying scaled dragon spell, the massive energy accumulated at the snow python's mouth dispersed along with its death. The resulting shockwave covered the entire icy cliff.

The half of the icy cliff where Chu Chen and Leng Qianxue were located broke off along with the huge explosion.

Snow and dirt filled the air as a small part of the cliff broke off and fell downward.

Chu Chen and Leng Qianxue, along with the snow python were caught in a terrifying avalanche and fell to the bottom of the cliff.

After an unknown length of time passed, Chu Chen finally regained consciousness. He was awakened by the extreme cold. Just as he regained consciousness, he could feel a cold wave that washed over every inch of his body, having caused him to sneeze loudly.

He subconsciously rubbed his nose and opened his eyes. Within his field of vision were an endless stretch of snow. Chu Chen felt his head spin. After having smacked his own head, some of his memory came back to him. He remembered the scene of that earth shaking explosion and laughed bitterly.

He had not expected the avalanche to have formed a huge cavern of snow and trapped him inside.

After a quick check, his body was fine. The top priority at the moment was to have escaped and quickly looked for Senior Sister Qing Yue and the others.

After taking a few steps in the snow cave, Chu Chen noticed something especially eye-catching.

A bright light flashed repeatedly. Chu Chen hesitated for a moment and quickly walked towards it. From afar, he could see a shiny long sword lodged in the ground, having given off cold rays of light. That spiritual weapon grade divine sword gave off an incredibly sharp aura. The invisible sword Qi had been able to split the layers of snow around it, having made it easy to spot.

Just as he arrived at the Divine Snow Prison Sword and tried to take it, he suddenly lost his footing. With an astonished scream, his body fell along with a large volume of snow. There had been another deep snow pit in there. It had been covered by a thick layer of snow, having made it extremely well hidden and avoided his notice.

The disoriented Chu Chen fell all the way to the bottom most layer of snow. When he regained consciousness, he saw a girl dressed in white laying at the bottom of the snow pit. Her face had been pale and her vital signs had been weak. It seemed as though she could have died any moment. That caused Chu Chen's pupils to shrink.

'It's Leng Qianxue!'

Chu Chen quickly carried her out of the snow mound. The girl's body had been cold. Although she had caused some damage to the snow python using the sharpness of the Divine Snow Prison Sword in her previous battle, she had also suffered from multiple tackles from the snow python. It seemed that she had suffered quite some injuries.

Later on, she had also used up all her spiritual energy to have executed the Secret Sky Sect's secret technique—Flying Meteors. The spiritual energy within her body had been completely exhausted. Without her spiritual energy to have protected the body, it caused her body to have been infected by cold Qi after the avalanche. It had reached a dangerous level.

"This idiot!"

Chu Chen could not help but felt angered. This young woman had been unconscious for an unknown amount of time being buried in the snow and suffered from the cold Qi having seeped into the body at every moment. If he did not remove those cold Qi, it would have caused her unimaginable harm to her body in the future. He needed to warm her up as soon as possible.

Right then, Chu Chen had not hesitated. He looked at the ground and took off his robes, placing it on the ground. He then placed the unconscious Leng Qianxue on it facing upwards. He stood behind her and moved his palms. A torrent of spiritual energy flowed forth and transformed into a continuous stream of warmth that entered her body from the acupoints on her back.

A warm white fog rose and covered the entire snow pit. Leng Qianxue had already reached the sixth level of the Spiritual Droplets Stage. The reason she had been stuck in the comatose state had been because of her sudden consumption of spiritual energy within a short period of time.

Being guided by Chu Chen's spiritual energy, that advanced cultivation level was made apparent. A massive flow of spiritual energy began to flow along her meridians. Deep in her dantian, five spiritual droplets that looked like miniature suns had been giving off a scorching energy.

A cultivator's life force had been extremely tenacious. The root of it had been because of the existence of spiritual energy. As long as the spiritual energy kept flowing, there would have never been an ending life force. No matter how severe the injury, it would have recovered quickly.
