This was a mini sword. There was no hilt, and it was only twenty or so centimeters long. Under the sun, it glowed bright gold.
Through his Omniscience, Li Changsheng could sense the rich energy inside the gold sword. This energy was more to the sharp and abrasive side.
Without a doubt, this was a Metal-type Treasure, and the energy inside was richer than that inside the Wind Streamer.
"A Medium-quality Metal Treasure!" After confirming what it was, Li Changsheng smiled. A Medium-quality Treasure amplified the demon pet's stats, and so it would be more valuable than a Low-quality Treasure.
It was unfortunate that Li Changsheng had not signed a Pact with a Gold type demon pet. If one wanted to find demons of such a type, it was best if they went to areas where metal mines were, because many Gold type demon pets tended to eat metal ores.
After keeping the mini gold sword, Li Changsheng picked up the small pouch. This pouch looked like a fragrance pouch, but it was slightly larger than an adult's palm. It was weaved from a special kind of gold thread, there was a length of soft rope sewn on the top of the pouch. It gave the impression that it was supposed to be an ornament or accessory tied at the waist.
Li Changsheng did not think of that though. The pouch felt familiar to him like he had seen it somewhere before.
"Could this be…" Li Changsheng was deep in his thoughts. He pulled at the soft rope, opening the pouch, and saw nothing but darkness inside. There was no light, even if the sunlight shone over it.
"Of course!"
Li Changsheng decisively placed the pouch on his palm and started to release his Omniscience, covering the pouch with it.
As his Omniscience came into contact with the pouch, Li Changsheng sensed the existence of a mysterious dimension.
This dimension was not big, almost similar to a demonic pet dimension. This was a dimension that was tethered to the Demon World. It had beautiful scenery, with mountains and rivers. Sunlight shone down on the land, too. It was a good place for demon pets to live in.
Li Changsheng was not fazed, instead, he grinned joyfully. This was a precious Demon Pouch, mainly used to store and rear temporary demons.
Although the pouch was linked to a dimension, the pouch could only store living things due to the limitations imposed by the material it was made from.
The area of the space was not the main point. The material the pouch was made from limited it to being a Demon Pouch of the lowest quality. It could only store up to five demons at the same time. There were limitations on the size of the demons too; large-sized demons could not be stored inside.
Despite that, the pouch was very important to Li Changsheng. With his special ability, it was a given that he would contract with many High Grade demons. He could not just have them next to him, that would be too attention-grabbing.
With this pouch, he could keep Gopher and his other temporary demons inside and let them out during battles. It could be an unexpected tactic.
"In!"
At this moment, Li Changsheng pointed the pouch in the Gopher's direction, communicating with the space inside the Demon Pouch. Suddenly a pulling force materialized, and the Gopher turned into a ray of light and leaped and disappeared into the Demon Pouch.
"I must get down from the mountain quickly, lest any accidents happen."
After burying Lin Zheng's body casually, Li Changsheng walked toward the outskirts of the Green Mountain, having no desire to stay there further.
He must return to the clan as soon as possible, not only to hide from danger but also to inform his clan of the recent happenings. Aside from sabotaging the Lin clan's nefarious plans, he must also minimize the losses of his clan as much as possible.
The clan had not mistreated him in any way or cut his expenses despite his parents' early deaths. Naturally, he had a strong sense of belonging to his clan. He was also very weak now. The clan was his refuge. It could be said that they were bound together, no matter for good or bad.
Most importantly, his clan would reward him. He had done them a great service.
Li Changsheng was not concerned if the clan did not believe him. Other than him being a direct descendent, he also had Lin Zheng's token that could prove his identity, and the Middle Order Wind Wolf and the Barbarous Bear's left ears that he had killed. These would be enough to convince the clan's seniors.
Li Changsheng moved swiftly. He did not forget to expand his Omniscience even when trekking down the mountain. This was not only to avoid being sneaked up by enemies but also to look for High Grade demons.
Li Changsheng eventually arrived at the outskirts of Green Mountain. Suddenly, he halted his steps. No enemies were around, nor had he spotted a High Grade demon, but he had come across a secluded valley mouth.
The entrance to it was well hidden. It only allowed one person to pass through, and it was covered by thick bushes. If Li Changsheng had not released his Omniscience, he would not have discovered this place.
Green Mountain was a dangerous place, hence Li Changsheng did not have the desire to explore and instinctively wanted to leave.
Just then, his ears twitched. He could hear the sounds of a collision and angry roars from afar. It was as if someone was engaging in battle inside.
Judging from the frequency of the sounds, there were a lot of them.
"Should I go in?" Li Changsheng hesitated momentarily. At last, he did not succeed in resisting his curiosity and decided to explore the valley.
For his safety, he opened the Demon Pouch and let the Gopher out. He set up a simple trap in front of the entrance before entering it stealthily.
The entrance was narrow at the beginning, only about the width of one person. However, the passageway got wider as he entered deeper. After a couple of steps, everything appeared clearly in front of him.
This was a pear-shaped valley. Plants grew and flowers blossomed. It was a given that many wild demons lived here, with how beautiful the natural environment looked to be.
Li Changsheng was perched at a high point. Shielded by the bushes, Li Changsheng stuck his head out and glanced around the valley.
In the pear-shaped valley, there was a big meadow. Two groups of wild demons were fighting there.
One group of demons looked like zebras. Their broad bodies had purplish stripes all over them, and long silver horns grew out of their heads. They had lightning-shaped marks on their foreheads and purple orbs for eyes. They looked like the unicorns in fairy tales.
These were the Lightning Zebras, a Lightning type demon that was quite rare. They were bad-tempered, easily angered, and famous for their momentous explosive power. They were also the preferred demon rides among the public.
The other demon group looked like praying mantises and stood about one meter tall. Their bodies were ink-green, and they stood on their legs. Their frontal limbs were a pair of green, razor-like sickles, and they had a set of thin wings at their backs like a cicada.
They were the Razor Praying Mantises. Their attacks were inordinately sharp, but their defense was weak.
They were naturally on opposite sides due to their differing living habits, and they were currently battling it out.
The Lightning Zebras, able to fare in both close and long-ranged combat, did not have any glaring disadvantages. The Razor Praying Mantises, however, do their best in close-range combat. Their defense was weak, and hence they usually took on the offense, but that opened themselves to another shortcoming of theirs: their endurance was too low.
As time passed, more and more demons fell to the ground. Some had lost their ability to fight while others died.
Judging from the overall situation, both parties were almost equal in numbers and combat strength. They would need a long time to determine a winner.
Just then, Li Changsheng approached the battleground carefully.
Judging from their numbers, there was a high possibility that demons of high caliber would be present. If he was lucky, he could probably come across Superior Grade or even Supreme Grade demons.
Five minutes later, when he was about four to five hundred meters to the battleground, Li Changsheng stopped in his tracks and started to wait in silence for the battle to end. It would be a time of harvest for him.
