In the beginning, all half-bloods traced their ancestry to ancient beasts capable of evolving into human forms. Over tens of thousands of years, 12 primary species were officially recognized by the Magus Universe as the half-bloods. These included the Dragon, Bird, Turtle, Lion, Serpent, Wolf, Bat, Goat, Boar, Monkey, Horse, and Rat. Each of these species encompassed millions of genetic variations, creating a vast and diverse population of half-bloods, each carrying the traits and characteristics of their ancestors.
However, those who did not belong to one of these 12 main species were classified as hybrids. Hybrids typically had fewer human genes or lacked a strong connection to the ancient bloodlines. These were creatures that had only recently begun evolving into human forms. Their limited recognition stemmed from their less significant ties to the ancient creatures that founded the half-blood lineage.
