The chapter starts out with King Orion in his chamber writing in his log.
Captain's log entry 90:
It's now been roughly 3 months since the royale knights and myself left the lands of Obadiah to set sail for the garden of the gods; The Royale knights are fine, and have been enjoying themselves; drinking and telling past tales of adventure. I hope they don't get too relaxed though for anything can happen .... he dips his pen in ink and begins to write again. And as for you my dear queen, It's not a day that goes by, that I don't think about you, my beloved; Or the Royale knights. I pray that you all stay safe, but if you were to encounter a threat! I pray that the knights are strong enough to defeat that said threat! My dear Queen, for I WILL! Make it back to you, and for when I do return, I'll be better, I'd be stronger I'd be wiser and The Kingdom of Obadiah will be renowned!
Suddenly, King Orion is interrupted from his writing by a knock on his door.
Knock, knock, kock; my lord, it is I first captain Adam.
Ahhh Adam what is it my my first captain
Beg my pardon my lord, but I was coming to inform you that land has been spotted up ahead.Adam says to Orion. According to the second captain, we should reach land in about 20-30 minutes he continues on to inform Orion.
Ahhh wonderful, Orin replies. For I shall be out in a moment
Yey, my lord Adam says to Orion. For I shall inform the others Adam says as he turns around to head back up to the deck of the ship.
It then cuts to the deck of the ship, where we see what the other Royale knights are up to. Some are drinking, others are tanning or working out, when the first captain returns.
Brothers, Adam says to the rest of the Royale knights, The king will be coming up soon. Michael he shouts as he looks up to the watchtower. How far are we?
Give me second! I'm calculating now! Michael yells down from the mask..... We should hit land in about 15 minutes.
Excellent, first captain Adam replies back to second captain. Michael
Welp I guess its about time, Joan says as she stands up from tanning. 7th and 8th captains, Relaxation is over! time to dress for battle. She says to Beverly and Daisy.
Finally! Beverly says out loud as she stands up and stretches reaching her hands to the skies. I thought we were never going to reach land. I was beginning to get tired of being on this ship all day.
Me too Daisy replies back to Beverly. Our first island! I'm so excited! I just can't wait! Iwonder what's in store for us she says as follows behind The foth and 7th captains.
Remember eighth captain, fourth captain Joan says, Our duty is to protect the king, let's just focus on that the she says
Right Beverly and Daisy say as they head into their rooms to change.
It then cuts back to second captain Michael still peering through the telescope. He's taken back just how big the island is.
Hey, he yells back down to his brothers, I believe that this island is uninhabitable. It doesn't seem to be any signs of human life anywhere.
For that is good, this means that King Orion will be safe The first Captain says.
yey, but, I was hoping to see some island women 10th captain Thomas says to his fellow brothers arms.
Fifth Captain John laughs at his Brother Thomas and smacks him on his back. Just then King Orion enters the deck.
So men, how close are we? Orion asks his Crew.
My King Michael says as he jumps down from out the watchtower and lands on the deck. For We will be arriving in roughly 15 minutes and The 10th captain is currently stirring the ship towards the beach shore where we will dock the ship. He says as he kneels before king Orion
Sounds excellent, Haha Orion laughs. I can't wait.
Suddenly the Female captains return to the deck of the ship fully clothed in armour
My king, 4th captain says as she turns around. Pleasure to see you she says as she kneels. The other knights do the same.
Alright Royle knights King Orion says as he turns around and faces them. This is our first island that we came across so I'm gonna divide us into 3 teams of 2.One team will consist of Michael, Joan and Beverly. The second team will be John, Daisy and Thomas. Orion then looks at Adam and lays his arm on his shoulder; Lastly Adam, you will accompany myself.
Yey, my lord as thee wishes, for I will keep ye safe. Adam says as he bows.
My lord, Fourth captain Joan says as she raises her right hand. Excuse me for asking but, are we splitting up into teams for? She asks.
for supplies! He says to her. This island is uninhabitable, so that means it should have some types of fruits and wild game running around. I want you guys to explore the island and collect as much food and material as possible. We will meet back up here at 5:00 that gives ample time for exploration
One team's heads off east while the other heads west. Orion heads north.
It then cuts to King Orion and First captain Adam, they seem to have come across an old abandoned temple. My lord, it seems to be a temple site ahead with 4 rocks housed in them he says as he peers through a portable collapsible telescope. Would you like to take a look Adam asks King Orion.
Yey my First captain, Orion says as he takes a look for himself. For maybe the rocks will have some information about the history if the island and the people who inhabited it. He says to Adam as he hands him the telescope and walks past him.
Right the first captain says as he follows behind his King.
As the two enter the site Orion is taken back at the craftsmanship. The temple site is beautiful with 4 separate temples each with circular roofs and 5 columns, there are 4 roads that lead from each temple and connects to one main road. Housed in each temple is a huge piece of rock elevated on a circular pedestal.
This is amazing! Orion says as he looks around, just look at this detail, I wonder what stonemasons built this. this site is proof that man once lived on this island. He says to the First captain.
Yey my king Adam says agreeing with Orion. My king, come take a look at this Adam calls for king Orion, there's an image on the rock with strange symbols.
Orion walks over and begins to examine the rock.
Well my King, do you know what it is?
Yey, it's ancient Rune which makes this a Runestone! Orion says as he taps the large Runestone.
A Runestone, first captain Adam ask very excited, aren't those the rocks of lore, said to hold the true history of the world? Adam asks.
Yey, Orion says, confirming his first captain.
What!! Adam says in a shocked tone. Well can you read it my Lord? Adam asks.
I can try, My old friend king Orion says to Adam as he rubs the Runestone. I remember learning about rune and runestones in my studies growing up. But It's been so long since then….. Give me some time King Orion says to Adam.
Take thous time my lord, for I will make sure you are not disturbed. Adam says to Orion.
We then catch up on Micheal, Joan and Beverly. It's been about 45 minutes since everyone split up and began exploration.
I wonder how the others are? Beverly asks.
There's no need in worrying, eighth captain, fourth captain Joan says to Beverly. For the Knight Captains of Obadiah are strong enough to handle any threat that may come their way.
Yey second captain Michael says agreeing with his sister at arms. And remember, the island is uninhabited. Just then a loud roar interrupts the second captain…. All three captains look up.
What was that Beverly asks?
I don't know Joan says but it sure was loud as hell.
It was probably just some wild beast. Micheal replies back.
I don't know what type of wild beast sounds like that. Joan says.
Suddenly Michael Senses something.
Is there something wrong second captain. Joan asks?
Yey he replies back, for were not alone be careful.
Quickly! back to back Joan cries out.
Right, Michael and Beverly yell out. Just then all three captains turn back to back able to look in three directions.
Now we should see our enemy no matter what direction it may appear. Joan says.
Nice thinking fourth captain, the second captain says to Joan.
Yey Beverly says agreeing.
Suddenly, the threat reveals itself to the Captain's, their giant Man eating plants.
What in the hell are those things? The fourth captain asks
They seem to be oversized man eating plants Michael says….. and they seem to be hungry.
And it seems we're on their menu. Beverly says as she tightens her grip.
The plants soon begin to become very aggressive. Some even begin to lunge and snap at the trio.
Stay calm and hold your ground Michael says, only make a move when they do. He tells the other two captains, when suddenly a root comes from beneath the ground and wraps around Micheal's right leg and hoists him high into the air.
Ahhhhhh he yells as he is dangled from the sky.
Second captain! Joan cries out as she goes to grab for him, but shes to slow.
are ye, ok? Beverly the eighth captain asks.
What do you think? He screams back to her. Behind you!! He yells to warn his teammates.
Both female captains turn around to the plants lunging at them with their huge mouths gaping open ready to swallow them whole with one gulp. Joan, with her great sword slays one by cutting at its neck, while Beverly slays the other by using her rapier to cut the plant's bottom jaw off. Both plants quickly fall to the ground after both attacks. Joan then feels the ground shake beneath her feets.
Get, attacks sisters Michael says, now get me down! He yells.
It's your fault she yells to him, you should've been more Observant she says, Joan then pauses.
What's the matter sister? Micheal asks are thou alright?
... Beverly, do you feel that? cries out. as she looks down at the ground.
Just then the ground beneath them begins to split apart. Both captains jump to the sides where the ground is more stable. Just then a huge plant emerges from under the ground and opens its mouth to eat the Michael.
What type of monstrous beast is this? Joan asks.
We can figure that out later, Michael yells, let's just get me down before it eats me. He yells too his sister's at arms.
Right, Beverly says as she begins attacking the man eating plant with her rapier. Joan joins in as well on the opposite side.
