Agatha
When everyone is already gone for the night, the house is again silent and Shawn and I stayed downstairs for a little while as we look at other remnants I have in the house.
"I'm surprised that nothing has changed," I told him as I check the bookshelves one by one.
"Some things don't change, love." He replied.
I nodded "I still can't believe you were able to talk my aunt and uncle out of it. What did you do?" I asked, still wanting to know how much he offered them.
"You really wanted to know, don't you?" He said.
I nodded innocently "I'm dying of curiosity."
"Half a million dollars." He said.
"Shawn! How could you let go of that much money?!" I was surprised. Anyone who would be offered that money will definitely take it.
"Your aunt and uncle are smart. They know who I am, they know that money is just nothing to me. We were able to settle it in less than thirty minutes."
