Chapter 66 - Return?

Aveline rolled over, or at least tried to. Opening her eyes, a ceiling she recognized and now dreaded was over her. Sitting up, she placed her head in her hand. Her head pounded, almost making her vision waver.

"This isn't right. I'm not Niall anymo- this is still..."

Looking down, Aveline could see her breasts. They were covered by a plain t-shirt that so most didn't fit right. Looking around, movement caught her eye. Her computer was on, the screen shining with the title to her favorite game.

"Weird..."

Aveline got to her feet, the cool floor making her step quickly. When she reached the computer the screen began to glare.

[GAME OVER]

"Huh? This is way bloodied than the game overs for Hero's Chronicle. Who failed anyways? I've pretty much mastered this game. I'm even living it now, right?"

The screen dimmed, Aveline's smile betrayed by the tears streaming down her face.

"I... I can't be here. Aveline wasn't even a part of this world! I'm supposed to be finding my friends! Gah... my fiancées! I can't abandon them in this-"

SHLICK

Her eyes fell to her chest, a large shard of ice boring through her body. She smiled, almost laughing as she saw her blood slide down her body.

"This... it's a nightmare. Sylvra, could this be a warning? Are you the one in danger?"

Aveline coughed out blood, spattering the screen in front of her. Falling to her knees, she looked behind her. Standing over her was a man all to familiar. His pale complexion and white hair the last thing she saw as her eyes closed.

"No."

Her eyes reopened, Desv smiling down at her. His smile faded slowly as her hand tore into his body.

"Your mind manipulation is a joke. Hehehe... I'm done playing nice if you hadn't heard. Despair and anger, hatred and remorse. Desv, have you ever felt the element I earned inside of that dungeon?"

A deep purple aura began to ooze from Aveline's stomach. She smiled as her skin paled, deep black thorns spiking across her body. One impaled Desv, his face contorting in agony.

"Hehehehahaha! How does it feel? To think they would give me this power! You're the first to feel this, but you won't be the last."

Aveline abruptly woke up, her body covered in sweat. The mark on her stomach was still emitting it's dangerous aura. Sitting up, Aveline began to force the aura to fade. Her eyes abruptly fell on the girl sleeping while holding her hand.

"Ah..."

Aveline tapped her shoulder, moving her face directly next to hers. She looked up, her eyes meeting Aveline's.

"You're... awake! I'm-"

Aveline leaned in, her lips softly brushing Sylvra's. The pale girl turned bright red, but she didn't move away. She pushed closer, her breath catching as her lips curved into a smile. When they finally parted, Sylvra sat up.

"Erm... ah thank you."

Aveline made the room cool down, her control always making Sylvra smile.

"You were gone so long... a part of me truly believed you'd never return. I heard of the cave through the vine, but I was made aware that it was impossible to get inside. Heh, I got magic deficiency sickness like... four times?"

Aveline narrowed her eyes, then tapped Sylvra's nose.

"Why are you here now? I thought..."

"I had gone home, but I was always planning to return. I desperately needed you at my side. Your comfort has been the only thing keeping me going at this school, aside from Wesrey. That silly girl wanted to raise an army to break the boulder!"

"And you?"

Sylvra blushed.

"I sent the army back already."

Aveline held her stomach, a fit of giggles erupting from her. Before it fully ended, she placed her palm against Sylvra's cheek and pulled her into another kiss. The icey maiden could feel warmth spread from her lips and her heart. As she kissed back, her lips grew more intense as she pressed herself against Aveline.

"Hey... I'm not ready for that much. I'll let you know when I'm ready, so can you hold back a bit longer?"

Sylvra sat back, but leaned in for another kiss.

"I'll wait. Still, kisses feel amazing in this cold weather! Hehehe! Now! Anya, why's she in here?"

Aveline looked over at the bed made near hers. Anya was laying in it, still asleep after everything that had happened.

"She was tortured. The king... hah, I think I'll need to commit regicide."

A dark aura appeared around Aveline's eyes.

"He hurt what I cherish most, so I think I'll need to take his daughter... and maybe his kingdom."

Sylvra placed her palm against Aveline's neck, a soft moan pulled out. Aveline twitched, but didn't pull away from the cold hand.

"Mmm... Ice play? You're such a pervert."

Aveline grabbed the hand against her skin, pulled it to her lips and kissed it. Her lips trailed up Sylvra's arm, her blushing spreading to her neck.

"A-Aveline... stop! You're making me feel really funny!"

Aveline pulled away, her fingers intertwined with that same hand.

"I pay back tenfold. Aren't you glad you fell for me?"

A strangely sadistic, but alluring smile enraptured Sylvra as she stared at Aveline. All she could do was nod.

After spending a bit more time together, Sylvra went to lay in her own bed. It was much earlier then Aveline had thought. She laid back down, her eyes on Anya.

'Desv knows I'm not from this world then... and that I hold this power. Heh... at least he didn't make me relive those memories.'

Her eyes closed.
