It had come in waves. As gushes of wind and the beginning of a storm. Fire and Ice swirling into one, singing the saga of their story and intertwined between the verses were her screams. Gut wrenching heart breaking screams. Her voice a monotonous high pitch of pain drawing Arsenio into her pain as he leapt to her side. He knew she was there and yet he knew that she could not feel him.
Over and over again she screamed. Mumbling a name he could not recognize. A line he could not hear. As she screamed. Arsenio reached out to hold her feeling the brewing warmth of electricity reverberating inside her veins. He knew what was to come. And yet he did not know how he could stop it. He did know to ease the pain she felt. The pain that was never hers and paradoxically it will be. Arsenio recognized the raw power of the dark lord that laced the waves that had forced Athena to submit to pain.
