Since Christian's arrival the atmosphere in the house had become livelier. The child's voice managed in making the house more vibrant and warmer, especially now that there was Suri, a baby whose presence Jack had been waiting for.
"Mommy, when can I play Suri with me?"
"Why can Suri only drink milk, Mommy?"
"Suri is beautiful like you, Mom."
"I will take good care of Suri when I grow up, Mom."
Christian's chatter sounded adorable. The child talked like an adult as he tried to convince his mother that he would be a good brother to his sister.
"Mommy, why does Suri have eyelashes this long? My eyelashes are short."
Anne smiled. "That's because Suri is a girl, dear. Of course her eyelashes are longer than yours."
"I see, so boys' lashes can't be as long as Suri's?"
Anne chuckled. "Actually, for a boy's size, your eyelashes are also quite long, dear."
"Really? Then will I become a handsome man, Mom?"
