After all the guests had left, Anne sat alone in the living room with all the lights off. She still couldn't believe that Jack had done it all in such a short time for her. He had purchased some assets belonging to the Lloyd family without a second thought.
"If Jack has interfered, it means that from the beginning, the Lloyd family had intended to expel the orphans. They truly are heartless people," said Anne quietly, subconsciously she gripped the paper in her hand tightly.
Because she was too tired, Anne's eyes slowly closed. She fell asleep on the sofa in a sitting position. Her smile widened because all her worries about the fate of the orphanage children had now disappeared. All her worries and fears were easily resolved by Jack. Tonight, Jack was on his way back to Geneva and Anne was looking forward to meeting her husband. All the questions she wanted to ask Jack had already gathered in her head.
