After meeting Roger Douglas at the restaurant, Alan got even more stringent escorts. He was not allowed to go unguarded. It was not by Mr. David Clarke's request, but by Anne's. She had asked the bodyguards to accompany Alan wherever he went and because it was Anne's order, Alan couldn't refuse, he could only surrender. Mr. David Clarke couldn't help but smile when he saw that Alan was obedient and didn't argue as before.
"Today I have a meeting with one of the vendors for the company's new project, so maybe I'll be home late tonight," Alan said quietly to Anne who was helping Alan put on a suit.
"Okay, the important thing is that I'm calm knowing you have bodyguards. And yes, I almost forgot, Erick starts working with you today, right?"
Alan took a deep breath. "Yes, and because of that, Nicholas is very upset since yesterday. He didn't like the idea of having Erick working with me."
"Why is Nicholas angry? Wouldn't it be nice if someone helped you?"
