Anne was in her bridal chamber after the party was over. She was really tired after standing up most of the time for the whole day. When she was about to open her wedding dress, suddenly there was a knock on her bridal room door. She immediately canceled her intention to take a shower. She was sure it wasn't her crazy husband who was at the door, because he couldn't have knocked on the door.
"Am I bothering you, child?" asked Mr. David Clarke gently.
Anne immediately shook her head. "No, Grandpa, how could you bother me? I was just about to remove my makeup. Please come in, Grandpa."
"No, I can't come in. This is Alan and your bridal room. I just want to give a small gift and congratulations on your marriage and welcome you into the Clarke family," said Mr. David Clarke.
"Gift?"
"Yes, Miss, please accept the heirloom for the daughter-in-law of this family," Luis replied quickly while holding out an old wooden box to Anne.
