"My next enemy isn't a beastman and he isn't even a slave. It seems he is trying to make a living by fighting. He is one of the natives here, one of those earth mages. My spear probably won't be able to pierce his augumented skin. Anyway I must change my spear since I have money now." Philip took his whole savings with him since he wasn't sure about prices for weapons here. He walked inside a shop with weapons hunged on walls inside. "It seems that prices aren't as unreasonable as I tought" Seeing that a sword like one his tribesman used costs around 8 bronze coins Philip worries were gone.
"I would like to buy a spear for around fifty bronze coins. It should be around two meters long, is weapon like this avaible here?" Hearing that there is a client burly man in his 40's came closer to Philip, saying: "We don't posses spear with such detailed description now but I can make it for you if you will pay 90 bronze coins. It will be ready next week. If you don't want to pay more then you can look at these three. If you like one of them then tell me wich. All of them are for 35 bronze coins." Spears showed to Philip had almost the same quality as the one he already possesed made by himself. Of course they were a little better but they weren't worth this amounr of money. After all it was around 30% of Philip's whole money. "Then can you show me all spears avaible cheaper than 100 bronze coins?" After a while there were already nine spears laying before Philip. "Now I have 3 choices. One spear is for 70 bronze coins and it's light and short but I shouldn't fight like this or when someone pierces my chest or something like this what will i do? Pretend to be dead? So now there are two choices both long spears but one lighter and one heavier for 75 and 80 bronze coins . Weight will make me less agile but will make spear more sturdy, but I think agility is more important for me. These spears won't be super durable anyway but this weight could really slow me down in cructial moments." After thinking for a while Philip choosed second spear, paid for it and came back home. "My next fight is six days later, with this spear i should be able to pierce my enemy but now I need to get used to it." Philip trained with imagined enemy. He was doing it for some time now and for the next six days it didn't changed. This time Philip wasn't working but trained whole days, reason behind his behaviour was simple. What's use of the money he would make by working if he was completely dead? "Today I will test what I've learned untill now. Those close to death experiences really have something that makes me look forward to them. I hope I won't be disapointed by this piece of rock waiting for me on arena."
