The large shadow like creature continued to repeat the word barrel for around a moment before seemingly getting pissed and rocking the ship with a large wave, making me and Hare fall and getting soaked once more.
"Barrel."
It spoke again, I looked over at the captain, then at the girl standing up quickly.
"Go help me find a barrel, captain's out of it, we need to figure out how we'll get out of here."
While she went down into the ship to look at the storage space, I looked around the deck. The beast going quiet as it noticed we were looking around. I couldn't find a single barrel up here, but while Hare is looking, I hope I can manage to bring Captain Vex back to his sense.
I knelt down beside the man and shook his shoulder. His eyes were wide while he kept his hands on his ears, why did this thing cause him so much fear? This was going to be annoying. I continued to shake him while calling out to him.
"Captain, wake up, we're not dead!"
