The next morning, Remus opened his eyes and saw Sirius right in front of him, with wide opened eyes, staring at him. "What the fuck, Sirius!?!? You scared me!" "I was just looking at MY beautiful boyfriend!" Sirius said calmly and smiled. "You are so cute when you're sleeping!" "You are cute every day!" "Aww, thanks! I know!" "Why the fuck do I love you?!?!" "Cause I'm cute and gorgeous and amazing and the best boyfriend and-" "It was a rhetorical question!" "No, it wasn't. I was able to answer!"
"Oh, shut up. Come on, get up, we have to eat and then talk to James and Peter. We don't have classes for the first two hours. Then we have transfiguration with McGonagall, study a bit and then we do whatever we want." Remus said and stood up to get dressed. "Or... we can do whatever we want now... and talk with James and Peter later." Sirius smiled and pulled Remus from his wrist. "Padfoot, please, do me this favor. Just for once. We have to go, ok?" "Fine, but you will hold hands with me whenever I ask you." "Aww, such a good boy!" Remus laughed and pated Sirius's head. "Hey! I'm not a do- oh, right. Um, I'm not a dog now!" "Yes but you're as cute as a puppy!" "Oh, ok then! Woof, woof!"
They both dressed up. "Hey! Wait up! You forgot about something!" Sirius said while running towards Remus, who was ready to leave. "Kay, fine! But quickly! We have to leave now!" He responded and kissed him. They opened the door, checked if someone was there, and left.
Five minutes later, they arrived at the Gryffindor table. They could eat and then go at the Common Room to tell them. "Hey, guys! Where have you been last night? I couldn't find you at the map!" James said when they sat down. "We will tell you later. After breakfast. To the Common Room. Now let's eat." Remus said and saw Lily smiling at him. He held his boyfriend's hand and started eating.
Sirius was nervous. He was afraid that James would be mad at him. He didn't want to lose his best friend. Remus wasn't so afraid, but he noticed Sirius. "Hey, everything is going to be fine, don't worry." He whispered.
Twenty minutes later, the five of them, were sitting at the Common Room. Peter was sitting at the armchair. James and Lily at a sofa and across them, were Sirius and Remus. "Well? What's so important that we have to spent our free time here?" Peter asked. "Yeah, wat is it?" James asked excited.
"Um... please don't freak out, ok?" Remus said. "Ok!" James and Peter answered at the same time. Lily smiled. "Well, I'm bi." Remus said quickly, before he could regret it. "And I'm gay." Sirius said without breathing. "Ok! Cool!" James said. "Yeah, dudes, it's fine!" Peter said. "A-and we're in a relationship." Sirius said and smiled. "Wait. What do you mean in a relationship?" James asked scared. "Relationship. Sirius and I. We're boyfriends." Remus said as calm as he could.
"What?!?! No, no it can't be!" "What's the matter?" Lily asked James. "And what exactly did you do yesterday?" James asked, ignoring Lily's question. "Well, we were at the Room of Requirements. And... we were... m-making... out." Remus talked again scared, cause Sirius was completely terrified. From James' Reaction. "You did what?! Guys, I completely accept your sexualities, but, I really can't even think that you have even kissed! That's so weird! You are best friends for seven years! You know each other so well and I understand that you are having fun together. But I can't think that you have even seen each other naked, kissed and snogged!" He screamed and ran out of the room. "Don't worry. I'll talk to him." Lily said and followed James.
"Well, it's... great. Just a bit confusing. I have to go now." Peter said awkwardly and left. Suddenly Sirius stood up and started running out of there. Remus followed him quickly. He saw him getting out of the castle and going into the forest. "Sirius!!! Wait up! Stop running, please!" He shouted. But Sirius continued running. Remus found him sitting under a tree, crying.
"Hey. Babe, are you ok?" He whispered and sat next to him. "Remus, I don't want to lose James! He's our best friend for so many years! Our friendship can't end like this! Why can't he accept that? I'm in love with you! I love you as much as anything!" Sirius said while crying.
"Love, there's nothing wrong between us! He will accept it, ok? We can talk to him tomorrow. He will understand. He knows how it is to love someone. Lily is talking to him right now. It's gonna be fine, ok?" "Yeah, I know. But he's mad at us! He has never been that mad!" Sirius said trying to hold his tears.
"He's not mad. He's just confused. Everything is gonna return back to normal tomorrow. I promise. Now, stop crying" Remus said and hugged him. "And after school, our lives will be just perfect!" He smiled. "Yeah."
They sat there for a while, to relax. "We better go upstairs to take our books." Remus whispered and slowly stood up to help Sirius do the same. They went to the dorms, took their books and started walking to the class.
James was there. He didn't even look at them. He turned around and started talking with Peter. That day Sirius barely talked. Even to Remus. He was different from the other days. After breakfast, he focused on studying, so he could be alone for some minutes. But after their homework, Remus took Sirius to the place that lily helped him with his fears the day before. Lily was there, alone, waiting for them.
"Hey, guys!" She said happily, wishing to cheer them up. But it didn't work. "Hi." Said Remus, moody and sat down, followed by Sirius. "How are you?" she asked. "Not in such a good mood, as you can see. How has it been with James?" Remus answered while Sirius stayed quiet. "Well, I'm sure that he'll accept it. He's almost ok with this. Just a bit scared. Maybe you should go and talk to him." "Yeah, we will. But, tomorrow, cause today is the full moon. We have to go, after dinner." "Oh, right. I forgot. Can you do this all alone?" "Yes, we thought about it. It's gonna be different. I think we're safe." "Ok, then, you better hurry up. The sun is almost down. I'll go to James. I think that as much as we are talking about your relationship, he's getting better." "Thank you so much, Lily!" Remus said and stood up. He pulled Sirius to help him and they went to the Great Hall to eat.
It was too early for dinner, so there were only a few students there. They sat down. Remus started filling his plate, but he noticed that Sirius didn't do anything. "Baby, you have to eat. It's gonna be a hard night." He said worriedly. "I am not in the mood, Remus." "Come on, I know that it's hard to handle all this. Just forget it for a bit, ok? And tomorrow we will talk to him... and everything will be back to normal." Remus told him and filled Sirius's plate. They ate quickly, took some extra food with them and left.
The moon was almost up. They went to the passage under the Womping Willow, arrived at the Shrieking Shack and waited for the moon to fully raise. "Are you ok?" Sirius asked. "I'm ok. You?" "Fine, I guess. I'll try to forget it while we're here." "Thanks. I want you to remember, if I'm about to attack you, you have to leave." "Don't be silly. I would never leave you! Besides, it's gonna be different by now. We have each other. I mean, we always did, but now it's different. I love you, no matter what." "I love you too." Remus said and kissed Sirius before he started turning into a werewolf. Sirius took his dog form and got closer to him. Remus was upset for the first thirty minutes. He didn't do anything that could harm Sirius or himself. Remus was just wandering around the Shrieking Shack. Howling and making noises. Sirius was following him to make sure that he was safe. Two hours later, Sirius started howling too, to see if he will respond to his calling. Remus ran to go to him. Sirius went and laid down at the corner of the room. Remus followed him, laid down and fell asleep. They slept until the sun raised.
When Remus started turning into a human again, they woke up. It was 6:30 A.M. "Good morning!" Remus said. "Good morning!" "Are you ok? What happened yesterday?" "Well, you were just a bit upset for the first two hours, you didn't do anything. Sometime later, I just called you here, and when you came, we laid down and fell asleep." "I see. It's too early to go back to Hogwarts. I'm hungry though. Where's the bag?" "Right here." Sirius said and turned around to take the bag and pass it to Remus. Remus took out some fruits and gave the half to Sirius. They ate and relaxed, talking about random things, until 9:00.
