"Mom... why are you still crying...", Mapendo was agonised seeing her mum in that state.
" Aaah... ", Mrs. Parker gaped not knowing what to tell her.
" Is it about dad... Were you serious he's gone forever", Mapendo raised a brow at her mum.
"Yes I was serious he's dead", a tear rolled down her cheek.
" No mummy.... daddy cant die...", Mapendo yelled as reality hit her. That her beloved father was gone forever.
"What happened", She raised the question that her mom wasnt ready to answer.
"Your too young to understand this. Will tell you more when you grow up", Mrs. Parker assured her.
"No... I want to know. Was he killed...?" She raised a brow at her.
"Yeah he was", Mrs. Parker confirmed it.
"Who did that to him. I will murder him myself", Mapendo yelled vigorously rolling herself on the floor.
"Baby calm down. Stop it ...", Her mom held her tightly comforting her.
"So we will grow up without a daddy", Mapendo raised a brow at her mom making her feel worse than she felt.
She had never experienced such grief before. Loosing the man of her life, the love of her life, her best friend and the father of her kids. Was hard to believe and bear.
Every memory of him played in her numerously. From the first day she met him. Their wedding day and night. All the great moments they shared together. She was lost mostly because she lost her other half. Seeing her children break down was the most painful thing she saw.
"Am here for you....", Mrs Parker assured her.
"Mapendo.... ", Max burged in their house wailing.
"Have you heard what happened...?" She raised a brow at him.
"Yes... my momma just told us cause we found her crying", Max informed her.
"When will be their burial...?" Max questioned Mrs. Parker.
"Burial... aaah I don't know yet. Where did you find that from ", She raised a brow at him.
"I saw a burial in a horror movie. The dead guy rose and started haunting people chasing them away. Are our dad's ghosts now", Max questioned her.
"Aaah... you have a lot of crap in your head. Your dads are in aidenn now", Mrs. Parker assured him.
"That's better than being ghosts", He lightened up a little with hope that his dad was at a better place.
"Does that mean we will all go to aidenn after life", Mapendo raised the unexpected question.
"No... it depends with how one lives", Mrs Parker responded.
"So... how did you know that our dad's are in aidenn and your alive now", Max raised a brow at her.
"You ask alot of questions. I do believe that there in aidenn cause they were good men", She assured them.
"Daddy wake up please don't leave me", Mapendo patted her dad who was laid on a casket at his wake.
"Baby let's go join your sister ", Her mum requested her carrying her to where Ashlee was with their grandparents.
"I want to see daddy again", Mapendo demanded.
"No.... You are too young to be viewing his body", Her mum hastily declined her request.
"Mapendo.....!!!" Max patted her thigh.
"What's the problem....", He raised a brow at her.
"I just remembered the day my dad died", She saddened as grief was filled in her heart and soul.
"You should be happy now", Max informed her.
"Why should I be happy", She couldn't get why he was so positive minded.
"Cause your fulfilled one of your dad's wish. To end high school well", He faintly smiled at her.
"Ooou... yeah", She nodded.
"Now your better I hope", He raised a brow at her.
"Yeah ...I love your strength. You should be a life couch", Mapendo complimented him.
"I really hurt inside. I don't show it", He informed her.
"Guys always simmer down their emotions. Why do you always do that it's wrong", Mapendo questioned him.
"Guys believe that sulking is showing that your weakly. That's why most guys are depressed and commit suicide. It's not easy Mapendo cause society expects you to be bold and strong. To be always strong despite of what you go through. Buh in reality you are really miserable in the inside. It's so hard being a guy at times. It's so fine for a girl to cry in the open. If a guy cries it's so wrong", He informed her.
"Whaaat... sorry I know am part of the society. If you need someone to lean on. Am here.... your free to cry won't judge you", Mapendo assured him with a slight grin.
"Stop exaggerating am good thanks. ", He lightly chuckled.
"At least you ain't a baby cry like me. Or do you cry in between your sheets", Mapendo raised the question.
"Yes.... at times I do...", He admitted it.
"Why ....", She asked him concerned.
"Cause of our dad's and lots of shit that happens. It's not easy ", He answered her.
"Am here for you whenever you wanna talk be free", Mapendo grinned at him.
"Ooou you are the best....", He pinched her cheeks.
"I know ", She winked at him.
"The diner girl is back. What do you have for us", Ashlee questioned Mapendo as she arrived.
"I have me for you....", Mapendo replied cracking up.
"You ain't making sense at all", Ashlee frowned at her.
"I know I shouldn't make sense at all", Mapendo replied.
"Wow ... your so pretty", Liz commented her.
"It's me who did her makeup", Ashlee flossed.
"Eish.... awesome ", Liz grinned.
"Will you move out after high school", Ashlee questioned Mapendo.
"Aaah.... it depends with where I will study. Ooooh.... you don wanna loose your big sister. Isn't that sweet", Mapendo lightly pinched her cheeks playfully.
"Am not a baby stop", Ashlee pouted.
"Yes you are", Liz chuckled.
"Buh your my baby sister", Mapendo grinned at her.
"Mmmmh... yeah ", Ashlee nodded.
As Mapendo was heading to her room. An anonymous caller called her. It was a guy's voice. He claimed that Bruce was in trouble and really ill.
