"Why don't you eat a lot like before you just take bites", Max raised a brow at her concerned.
"I don't know what's happening to me lately I've been feeling sickly and pale", Mapendo answered seeming rather disturbed .
"Have you gone to hospital", he asked finishing his burger.
" Nope it will just go away and I really hate hospitals the hell can't stand that place it freaks me out", Mapendo answered handing him over her burger .
" You can take it", She gestured him to take it.
" All right but if you continue feeling that way please go to the doctor. It may be something serious", he said smirking gently.
"Yes I will....", She mumbled.
" What are you planning to do after high school", Max questioned her.
"Mmmm.... well I don't know ", She answered back then called the waiter .
" Why are you calling the waiter ....?. You wanna eat again", Max raised a brow chortling.
" I just want to drink, that's all ", Mapendo replied.
"These days have bad days. I don't know what's really happening to my body but hope will get well soon", She spoke to Max as the waiter approached them.
" One glass of milk please", She requested the waiter.
"Alright madam", he replied writing down her order.
"Don't call me madam. I'm not that old the heck....!!!" Mapendo was pissed off.
" Alright sorry ", the waiter replied apologetically.
" Ok, you may now go", She answered back.
"Come down pretty lass", Max pointed out worriedly.
" Fuck you... why did you call me that way, you remind me of that jerk ", She answered annoyed.
"I heard your conversation with him over the phone. That guy seems to like you even he created a petty name for you.....", Max giggled.
" Hell nope we can never be a thing in this life or the next. He is just a dick head who wants pussy", Mapendo couldn't comprehend Bruce being her boyfriend.
"As you say so pretty lass your pretty. Your figure made him horny", Max flirted her giggling like an idiot.
"What are you tryna do....", Mapendo raised a brow not believing that it was Max flirting her.
"Are you shy huuuh....!!" He chuckled seeing her startled face.

"Of what ....? She answered hastily.
" For what you did to Dylan...?" he said peeking outside.
"Nope, I'm not at all. Am prepared for anything. Why should I freak about it. He deserved it anyway. He was a dickhead and deserves more", She retorted at him while his attention was on a pretty girl.
"Who is that chick that you are glancing at.....?" Mapendo asked teasing him.
" She is the daughter of my mum's colleague", Max replied.
The way he stared at her, she knew something was going on between them. Max rarely dates, She will be so glad seeing him with a girl in his life.
"Well, she's a pretty one and sexy as well Are you crashing on her or something", Mapendo raised the question teasing him.
" We are just friends. Why say that.....", he spoke nervously.
"Just friends that a very good lie. I see...", Mapendo gave him that look 'you are lying'.
"Stop giving me that....", He pointed at her face.
"Fine Mr.... ", She stopped and continued taking her meal.
When the girl spotted Max, she came to their table with her two friends.
"What a coincidence. She really looks like the clown May but who knows maybe they are related. She seems like a rude bitch. Why am I even concerned. She can be whoever the fuck.... she is, I don't give a damn about her", In her mind Mapendo judged her already.
"Hey max ", she greeted him with a wide grin on her face.
" Am Crystal", she informed Mapendo.
"Am Mapendo", Mapendo replied fake grinning at her, trying to act all cute.
Her two friends also greeted them and they went to look for their table. " It was nice seeing you Maxy... Is she the one ", Crystal raised a brow at him.
Max assumed her question and gave her that warning look of 'why did you ask that fuck you'.
"Aaaah... you just say that and became numb. Alright talk later let me join my girls. It was my pleasure meeting you Mapendo", Crystal half grinned at her.
"The pleasure is all mine....", Mapendo grinned at her.
"Alright, Crystal", Max grinned at her.
"Eish, ouuulala my bestie has found a girlfriend", Mapendo teased him clapping her hands in excitement.
"My friend, you are so dramatic. She is neither my girlfriend nor crush ", he chortled.
"I know right.....you don't have to admit it", Mapendo took her clutch bag as they exited.
"Aaaah.... why did that girl ask you if am the one", Mapendo raised a brow wanting some answers.
"Don't mind her...", Max dismissed the question.
"As you say buh I have to know that secret girl you love ...", Mapendo assured him.
" That must be your phone", Max pointed at her vibrating phone.
"Oou...yeah....let me check the message first before we leave", As she checked she saw Katrina's voice message.
"Mapendo hey.....come over at my place need to tell you something about Dylan.", Katrina sent the voice note. Her tune was clearly of a person who is scared and has panicked.
After listening to it, Mapendo's heart pounded faster clenching so hard. Her andrenaline shot up making her shiver in fear.
"What if Bruce killed Dylan what am I going to do...? Where will I run to...? Am I prepared to go to jail for life for murder? What will I tell my mom about the incident...? Will she forgive me...?" these are the questions that rotated through her mind at that moment.
Her brain became numb and her head was not functioning well at that time. She knew it wasn't good news in anyway.
"Why was I seeking for revenge anyway? I thought it was the best idea for the time but it's affecting me now. In the future whil have to face the consequences of my silly actions. What have you done Mapendo", She regretted her actions. She let rage, fury and anger consume her soul burying the love in her.
"Alright hun, I'm on my way there", Mapendo replied worriedly.
" Can you please take me to Kat's place", She requested Max.
"What's wrong you seem scared. What did she tell you...?" Max touched her hand waiting for an answer.
"She said she has some info concerning Dylan", Mapendo informed him.
"Alright who am I to say no to pretty lass. Will take you there", he accepted.
" Mmmmh.... thank you but stop calling me that name. I hate that... told you already", She frowned .buckling the seatbelt.
"Just wanted to change the mood", he smirked at her.
" Yeah....trying to relax here ", Mapendo gasped.
" Stop panicking all will be well", he tried to calm her down. But no her brain was not cooperating.
