After the war Seven hundred years ago, the Imperial Palace, from which the Harons had ruled, was completely destroyed. The only two living members of the family at that time were Harlyn and Tanya.
Harlyn had long renounced the Haron family in favor of eternity with Hal -eternity as the custodian of the Infinite knowledge he possessed- and so readily let go of her title as Empress for the only one who truly deserved that title by Hal's side.
As for Tanya, things were a bit- different. Not exactly complicated, just- different.
Anyway, no Harons remained, and with Harlyn having absolutely no interest in having any more children, there would never be any more. Their bloodline now only really existed to ever be passed on within the sample Hal had long collected.
The Imperial City returned to being a Kingdom, not Duchy, but Kingdom, as it had been before the Harons, went on to unite all kingdoms and install themselves above all.
