Naya had Hal's backing and through him, she was on track to secure her seat and secure her reign over the Dragon Clan.
Hal had revealed to her the error of her thinking in the sense that she had accepted that her time as Queen of the Dragon Clan was limited to eventually surrendering the throne to a member of the main family line when the said member was ready to rule.
