The event went successfully, and I resumed taking orders. An order later, my vision went black again.
[Day 2]
I sighed as to what was yet to come; if all they were was day one, I don't know how much more I could take.
I was in the kitchen again, but the TV was making noise again. Tiredly, I made my way to the employee's only area.
[Take the trash out.]
Oh, fuck me. It was dark as hell outside; I didn't have a flashlight; that creepy serial killer shadow thing had found me and you want me to leave the safety of this building to throw some trash out? I can't even smell it and there is no one here! Where did three bags of trash even come from in the first place?!
Walking back, I picked up the trash and walked outside, ready to throw a trash bag at the creepy fuck if it showed up.
The grass crunched under my feet as I walked over toward the dumpster.
[Put trash in a dumpster]
I clicked on it and turned around, jumping nearly ten feet in the air as it showed up again and then poofed. I didn't waste time seeing if it followed me as I ran back into the kitchen and stood in the corner, facing the door.
Holding my breath, I waited for it to follow me, but I think it disappeared again. I noticed the mop in the place where the trash had been.
"This must be its idea of a sick joke," I growled out, taking yet another order.
A blue car showed up, the same as the last five blue cars.
"Number blue, please!"
"Yep," I said as I clicked the blue cube and handed the order over.
The car left, and the TV chimed again. This time, without fear I walked back to see what it wanted, halfway already over this at this point.
[Mop up the water in the bathroom.]
With that, I got the mop. The bathroom, for whatever reason, was still dark as fuck. Fortunately, though, there wasn't any manual labor; I just had to click, and it disappeared.
"There isn't even anyone here. Who's making these messes?"
Again, I take three more customer orders. The fourth one came, and I wasn't scared this time; Fucker wasn't going to do anything.
"Can you talk to me outside?" The voice of Satan asked
"Nope," I immediately replied, but the chime of the TV replied.
I made a frustrated noise and went to see what it was. You'd think I'd be used to it by now, but I was just getting more annoyed.
[Go outside and talk to the stranger.]
Well, it wouldn't be a horror game, and if I could just lock the doors and live peacefully, wouldn't it?
I walked out and saw the thing staring at me from the window. I could hear it breathing heavily. Slowly, I walked towards it. We held eye contact for a minute, if you could even call it that; it was not like it had eyes. Like I predicted, it vanished, and I resumed taking orders again.
After four more orders, the TV started playing again, but this time I heard the music that signaled the news. I rushed to go see if the guy finally got caught.
"This is an update to tell you that more victims are being found, and the killer is still not found."
I didn't know whether I should laugh or cry; it was only day 2. How are there so many problems already?
As if on cue, my world went dark. I was on day 3.
I was in front of the TV this time. The first job of the day did not make me happy at all.
[Clear trash outside]
Trash again? Isn't there anything I can do while I don't know? Like checking inventory or something? Color-coding the boxes?
I went outside and picked up the colorful pieces of trash. My stupid inventory only held three items, so I was constantly walking back and forth between the dumpster and the front of the building. I was thinking I was lucky this game didn't have a stamina bar or the option to run. I probably had to walk back and forth five times, but each time I was wondering if that thing would pop up again.
Besides that, I was almost happy despite my complaining earlier. It was a nice change of pace, despite being so short. I'm just wondering what else was there to do; it wasn't like there were any shops around.
As I was taking orders, however, I heard a loud crash. I stood still; I wasn't checking that shit out; I already knew it was that creepy shadow thing. But of course, the phone started ringing. Which was in the employee's only room.
I opened the door, and that damn thing was standing in the entrance. We kept eye contact as I opened and closed it, a deep chill down my spine as I sensed something wasn't right.
"I want Noah," the voice growled.
I dropped the phone, and it landed with a clatter. It was the shadow again but... I swallowed. It was at the entrance.
Okay, I take it back. I would love to be serving food to the customers right now and cleaning the bathroom! And who the fuck was Noah?!
I backed away from the door as I heard footsteps approaching it. My back hit the wall, and my knees buckled as I pushed myself further into the corner, trying to be as small as possible.
My mouth was dry, and the banging started; it sounded like it was trying to break it open. Even through the panic, though, I linked together that I may be Noah.
Why else would that thing be that desperate to get me? But now I wonder why the hell it wants me.
I saw a hinge come loose, and soon the door broke. Before I could even yell, it rushed at me, and everything went dark.
