His gaze slowly came into focus when he opened his eyes. He blinked, trying to get used to the dim light that came from someplace near him. His body tensed up when he realized that he was in an unknown bed again but, unlike last time, it wasn't rigid and stiff. Actually, it was soft, softer than the bed he had in Will's house. It felt kind of alien if he considered that he had spent months ─years─ laying on the harder stuff.
Aaron's fingers twitched as he tried to find the energy to move, something hard to achieve considering that he was tired. His body felt as if it weighed a ton even if he still felt alert, wary in a way that he hadn't felt since he started to live in motel rooms and needed to adjust his hearing, in case of thieves that tried to get in. He moved his body slightly forward and then hissed more out of surprise than anything when he rubbed accidentally his side.
