Chapter 5 - CHRISTIAN - - - - TOBY ESQUIRE IS ............ BIASED (4)

The blue haired boy stood in front of the mirror, a pipe in hand and lines of powder on the basin, he took the pipe down on one line of powder and sniffed it, pure ecstasy pumping in his veins as he felt the powder flood his system.....

Christian laughed to himself as the substance melted in his blood, grinning at himself in the mirror.

He knew he had to stop soon, he could feel his high coming, and even someone as notorious as him couldn't afford to get stoned on the first day of them term.

Christian sighed, packing the bag that contained the white substance and setting it in a safe spot in his backpack. He cleaned his appearance, washed his face with water, adjusted his tie and slid his backpack on his back before he walked out of the bathroom.

Christian has always been extraordinarily good at pretending, if anyone had taken a look at him at that moment, no one would've been able to guess that the blue haired, Asian boy was just doing drugs in the school bathroom, deception was his thing. He had completely mastered the art.

He moved carefully to his locker, honestly wishing he could avoid everyone but still getting a few greetings on the way. He was about to place his things in when there was a sudden jerk on his backpack.

"Hey, what the fuck?" He turned around to come face to face with his half sister, Katherine's face was set in a scowl, her eyes hard as she set them in a glare at her idiotic half brother.

Christian rolled his eyes, he had been hoping he could particularly avoid her. It was just 8:00 in the morning but she was already in a bad mood. He sighed as he looked towards her. "What's got your thongs in a twist this time, Katherine, it's just 8 in the morning"

"Exactly, you idiot, it's too early for your shit" Katherine's voice was one of pure annoyance.

"What are you talking about now?" Christian asked, already exhausted with the conversation.

Katherine gave him a look that said 'really?', Christian just shrugged. She narrowed her eyes at him.

"It's just 8 in the morning and you're stoned" she said, annoyance and a hint of concern in her tone.

Christian scoffed, turning around and going back to his locker. "I'm not stoned" he answered. Katherine's eyes narrowed even further. She turned him back to her, forcefully.

"Oh, yeah?" Her tone was questioning, and full of disbelief. Christian wasn't going to let her win the argument though.

He smiled at his sister, turning around and going back to his locker again. "No, I am not".

He almost believed he had won the argument, he thought Katherine had decided to back off, but when she leapt forward and threw her arms towards his backpack, Christian had to think again.

Katherine leapt forward, her hands jumping into her brother's backpack, she unzipped it as Christian kept trying, and failing, to pry her off.

Her hands flew into the bag, feeling for any powdery substance in a ziplock bag. She was almost at her target, when Christian pushed her back.

"Okay, fine. I had a little but I'm not stoned" he yelled. A couple gazes from the hallway got directed to him, Christian looked around and realised he'd been yelling, he lowered his voice to a whisper. "I swear I'm not stoned".

Katherine narrowed her eyes at her brother, her stare so powerful it could freeze a man on the spot, she was trying to find any trace of a lie, when she couldn't, she finally agreed that her brother was telling the truth.

"You still shouldn't take that stuff, you know?" She said, it didn't matter if he wasn't stoned, taking drugs at all was dangerous.

"Please, not you too, I don't need this lecture from you too" Christian begged, he had heard the lecture that morning already, he didn't need to hear it again.

"Wel..." Katherine was cut off when someone slammed into her suddenly. She turned around with a scornful face, perfectly ready to insult whoever it was that had dared to hit her, but when Katherine turned and saw the mop of blonde hair, she smirked. If it wasn't Hannah Montana.

Christian stayed to the side as he watched Katherine exchange words with Hannah. He never particularly knew the blonde girl, he only knew her as Toby Esquire's ex girlfriend. And to him, that was enough to make her a bad person. Anybody that could survive in a relationship with Toby had to be just as bad as him. Christian personally had a deep hatred for the fellow, he could only remember how unpleasant their first meeting had been.

The blue haired boy stood in front of the large doors. He'd heard a lot about the school he was currently standing in front of, but nothing could've prepared him for the insane building he was looking at. Oaksville was huge, it was separated into four different building and all of them stretched so far back that he couldn't even see where it ended.

Christian's mouth was wide open in shock, he could not believe he would be attending the infamous Oaksville high school, a school that only the most elite of the most elite could go to.

"Close your mouth and you'll enjoy the view more" he turned around to see the face of the talker.

Katherine stood with a smirk on her lips and a hand on her hips.

Christian smirked back, "you go to this school?" He asked, still shocked.

"Well, I am walking towards the building, aren't I?" She answered, her smirk still glued to her lips.

"This place is insane" Christian said, his eyes scanning every nook and cranny of the piece of architecture.

"I know" his sister replied, before walking into the building. Christian followed, eyes scanning the interior of the impressive building. He was mesmerised.

"Oh, yeah. About your joining the football team" Katherine started, Christian looked towards her, the topic of football easily catching his attention.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"I talked to Ivan, the captain of the team, he wants to meet you during lunch" she finished.

Christian smiled, he knew he shouldn't have used his sister's influence to get what he wanted, but did it matter? He was a good player anyway, and he was sure he would've gotten on the team either way. With a grin on his face, he followed his sister to his first class.

Lunch time came, and Christian was excited to meet the captain of the team he would be joining, he didn't even bother to get lunch before he ran to look for Katherine, he found her coming out of her class with her face glued to her phone.

"Hey, kat" he called, Katherine looked towards him.

"Well, aren't you excited to join the team" she said, as she typed on her phone. "Anyway, the cafeteria's this way, follow me, he's waiting for you" she finished, as she started to walk away, Christian following behind her.

There were six people at the table, two girls and four boys. They were all focused on their phones, except for a black haired boy and a blonde girl who were talking to each other.

Katherine joined the table. "Christian, that's Ivan, Toby, Maybel, Claryse, Jonathan and Mickey" she said pointing to each individual as she called their names.

"Everyone, Christian" she continued, also introducing him to the group, everyone responded by saying hi. However, the one she introduced as Toby was only giving him a weird look. He decided not to think about it.

Then Ivan spoke, " oh, wait, kat, is this the guy you want me to talk to coach about?" He asked.

Katherine was about to respond, but Toby cut her off.

"Are you a druggie?" He asked, his eyes scanning over Christian's face. Christian realised the question was directed at him. He looked towards Toby and saw a look of pure disgust.

"Uhhh..." Christian would've replied honestly, he wanted to, he wanted to tell them he was in rehab, that he was trying his best to stop, but he didn't want to be looked at like a freak.

"Toby....." Ivan wanted to talk, but he was cut off by Toby again.

"Shut the fuck up, Ivan, my mom used to be a druggie too, I know all the symptoms of addiction"

"Why do you always have to be such a dick?" Katherine asked.

"Shut up, Katherine, I'm not talking to you " Toby continued.

Christian looked and saw that every gaze at the table was directed to him. He finally answered.

"No, no I'm not a druggie" he said, this seemed to only anger Toby more.

He stood up abruptly, slamming his hands on the table. "Well, Ivan won't be talking to the coach for you, we don't want druggies and liars on our team" he said before he stomped out.

Christian was beyond furious, his drug addiction had completely ruined him, but Toby didn't have to be so rude about it.

The bell rung just then, and everyone began to leave the table.

(Now)

Christian was getting irritated, he always did when he remembered the first time he met the bastard. He'd later tried to apologise, but Toby Esquire had marked his face, and he was made a target for ridicule almost everyday till Toby's death.

He suddenly heard a row of laughter in the hallway, Christian looked just in time to see Hannah run past him, her hands trying to wipe the tears falling freely from her face. He knew immediately, that Katherine had said something.

She returned to his side with a smile on her face, looking satisfied. "Are you heading to first period?" She asked.

"You know you should really leave that girl alone" he said to his sister.

"I'll never leave that tramp alone" she replied, right before her phone chimed. She fished his out of her pocket as his chimed too.

He took out his phone, deciding not to think too much about the issue, he didn't care anyways.

TOBY ESQUIRE was a BIASED and discriminative Bastard, he didn't need to waste his time thinking about scum like him.
