The sun rays entering the room made the white colour look more gorgeous than before. Everything was white just like she liked ....colourless yet beautiful.
Soft breeze was making the curtains sway in rhythm and the chirping of the birds was the only sound one could hear.
Amidst this beautiful silence of the room lay, Zenos. His ocean blue eyes staring at the picture on the ceiling. The girl looked innocent...so tender ...so fragile yet her green orbs carried dreams that they both built together under the same sky, hand in hand. Her curly hair were in mess but still she looked the most gorgeous girl he ever laid his eyes on.
Zenos took a deep breath, still not being able to tear his eyes off the picture. The rosy glow on the snowy white cheeks of the girl and the million dollar smile on her face...'she's gorgeous' he said to noone and struggled to get out of the bed like any other day. Although the picture has been there for past three years but the effect it had on him was still the same.
He was always left mesmerized by the beauty of the girl and in spite of everything that he went through, he still failed to stop himself from loving her more everyday.
Zenos threw the sheets at one corner of the bed and tip toed towards the bathroom. After having a quick shower, he went downstairs to the dining area. Soft warm sunrays were lightening up the room just like the bygone days. That centrally located mahogany table and the six chairs surrounding it had turned reddish with time. Everything was same, just the way , they both liked..their little heaven..their escape. A silent tear escaped the eye of Zenos when he laid his eyes on the the broken frame with their picture. The drops of blood still stained the glass and he had made no efforts to clean it because it belonged to her.
"Hey, finally you got time to get up." A man in his mid twenties entered the room. His brown dirty hair were unkempt but his face was indeed gleaming with what Zenos thought to be happiness.
"Yeah... actually I was working on the new project." Zenos hugged him
Breaking the hug ,he inquired, "Where is mom?" Concern lacing his oceanic orbs.
"Don't worry dude , she's fine. She's in the farm, bathing the horses. You know her love for them right." The man winked.
The man was Ace and Zenos had known him since childhood. Their bond was just like diamond- unbreakable. It turned more and more stronger with time but there are some storms with fire in their core that have the power to break even the unbreakable.
Such a storm she was, such a fire she was. And now here were they both standing... working to fix each others' pieces and struggling to bring everything back to place.
Zenos smiled at him and he was genuinely happy that they both were back together. Not only them but all five of them to whom the five chairs belonged.
"Did you prepare something to eat?" Ace asked taking seat on the newly bought bean bag.
"Was it my turn?" Zenos' eyes widened.
"I don't know about three of us but Zia will surely eat you up for not preparing her breakfast. What will you serve her - Zenos Cutlet " Ace joked and burst into laughter.
"We are back " shouted the three young people as they stood on the door.
"Hey you don't have to stress our eardrums by yelling." Ace and Zenos cried together covering their ears with their palms.
Zia at once hugged Ace while Michael took seat beside him and Ariana sat on top of the dining table and grabbed an apple from the fruit basket.
The silence was now replaced by the giggles and laughs of these crazy youngsters.
"Zenos it was your turn to fill our hungry tummies." Zia pouted.
Her black hair were beautifully tied in a neat ponytail. Her dusky skin was flawless and in that leather jacket and high healed boots she looked no less than a fashion model.
"Why don't you all do it today, I have something to attend." Zenos spoke with lots of sincerity.
"Ughh....you always do this." Ariana signed munching the apple.
"I'll do it some other day. But just give me today. I have something important to attend. " The innocent look on his Charming face was enough to melt their hearts and they all agreed to prepare the breakfast themselves.
While everyone was busy in attending the kitchen. Honestly speaking while everyone was busy in ruining the kitchen, Zenos was leaning on the balcony railing. His eyes glued to the banyan tree with a nicely painted blue tree-house.
He had stayed here for past three years but today every detail was reminding him of her.
"It's better to forget accidents and remember the lessons." The silence was broken by Ace who had been standing at the corner watching every step of his best friend. He walked towards Zenos and placed his hand in his shoulder in assurance ,
'Everything is fine'
Zenos took a deep breath for he knew he couldn't cry. At least not in front of his friends for someone who created such a havoc in their lives.
"Here take a look." Ace pushed a newspaper in front of him .
'AURORA SHEROFF- The youngest business tycoon still maintains her top position in the business world."
The headlines met his eyes and his eyes looked for her image. But to his dismay, there was no picture. He had craved for her every single day...he was dying to get a glance of her. But the destiny never smiled on him as she stayed in dark, away from media still in media.
"She has moved on and you should accept it. Whom are you crying for? This girl who broke all your dreams and left you in the prison of her memories." Ace's voice beemed with anger which was not for Aurora but for his brainless idiot friend who was crying for her.
"Aurora's aura surrounds me. It surrounded me then,it surrounds me now and it will stay with me till death do us apart. " Irritated, Zenos pushed Ace aside.
"She has not moved on and maybe she has. But Zenos belongs to her and Aurora belongs to Zenos." He sat on the floor almost breaking down
"I know how dangerous she was, I know she's like a tornado but there is calmness in her core. I love her but that doesn't mean I have forgotten what she did to us.."
His eyes turned red as he stared at Ace who was stuck to his place. The anger in the sea of his eyes was fighting with the love that filled his heart screaming 'Hatred tells, how insane the love was.'
