Alex point of view ~
I lightly stroke the slight barely there curve of my stomach, where our beautiful child grows. I couldn't believe it when I found out I was pregnant, the surprise was short, and happiness soon followed. My eyes mist slightly at the joyfulness that fills my body and soul, that a perfect mix of Xavier and I is growing inside of me.
Xavier's soft snores drift through the room to the bathroom where I am peacefully showering. We reached home from Xavier's parents house a few days ago and I have been planning the perfect way to tell Xavier about our little pup. I knew deep in my heart he would be ecstatic at the news of our unborn child, just as I am. Keeping this from him from him for the past few days has been very frustrating, as I felt the severe need to spill the beans from one look of my handsome mate. But I knew the look of pure happiness when I finally surprise him, will be worth the wait.
I had a perfect plan to surprise Xavier, but I would need some help. The first person that came to mind that could help me hatch my amazing plan, was Amelia. I knew she would help me; she may coo and squeal at first, but once that women is on a mission nothing can stop her. She was the perfect person to help me, without a doubt.
I finished showering and wrapped myself up in a soft towel, drying the now cooling water of my pale skin. I entered the walk in the closet that Xavier has our clothes and other items, like shoes and accessories in. I dress in a warm knitted baby blue turtleneck and a pair of snug black boyfriend jeans. I paired my outfit with a cute black beanie with kitty ears that I bought a few weeks ago, as well as some white sneakers with black details.
I exited the closet, reentering the bathroom to brush my hair into it's normal but cute messy style. Once I have perfected the art of messy hair, I enter the room to see a slightly sleepy but awake Xavier.
"Good morning angel" he yawns with a sweet smile.
I walk towards him cuddling into his chest, loving the warmth his embrace provides.
"Morning Zee" I mumble into his naked chest, pressing a light kiss before pulling back to smile at him.
"I was wondering if I could go shopping with Amelia this morning, but I need to use your phone to call her to see if she can come" I ask him hoping my adorably clingy mate will agree.
"Sure baby, but I'll miss you dearly" he says with a slight pout rubbing his nose against mine making me giggle.
"I'll miss you to, so much" I smile placing an affectionate peck on his lips.
He smiles lovingly, whilst turning to reach over and pick up his phone from the nightstand. He places it in my hands, with Amelia's number already pulled up.
"That reminds me, when you are at the shops can you purchase yourself a phone so if you need to call me or anyone, your able to" he says in a no room for argument tone.
"I will, I'll get one from the Samsung store they have set up in the shops" I smile happily, resulting in him smiling in return.
"I'll go make us breakfast, whilst you call Amelia" he says, pecking my lips once more before shifting me gently to stand up.
Xavier leaves the room and when I'm certain he is far enough away, I ring Amelia's number. The dial rings one then twice before she picks up with a cheery "What's up Xavvy?".
"It's Alex" I smile at the nickname.
"Oh hi Alex, how have you been, getting frisky with Xavier have ya" she teases with a smirk I know she has on her face.
"I've been good and stop teasing me, I have something important to ask" I blush trying to sound firm.
"Okayyy I'll stop, so what's the important question" she says becoming serious mid-way through the sentence.
"I need to go to the shops to get something, I can't tell you what right now because it's a surprise and I don't want Xavier to hear" I whisper quietly into the phone.
"I'll be there in 10 minutes, can't wait to see you Lex" she replies cheerily.
"Thank you so much and I can't wait to see you too" I thank her happily.
I end the call, feeling excitement and nervousness burn through my body at the thought of telling Xavier about our pup. I pushed down the nervousness I was feeling and let a genuine smile grace my face.
I left our bedroom, stepping down the stairs with excitement. I jumped off the last step and quickly walked into the kitchen. I was greeted with Xavier's muscular naked back, making me mentally drool at the sight of his hard-earned muscles.
I was snapped out of my daze as Xavier says "like what you see angel".
"Very much so" I reply with a blush flushing my cheeks.
He looks at me with his usual sexy smirk as he lifts his finger in a come-hither motion. I walk towards him, rushing to cuddle into his warm muscular but surprisingly soft chest. He uses his thick calloused fingers to lift my chin to face him directly. He presses his lips to mine as he kisses me firmly with passion. Shivers rush through my body at the claim of ownership he has placed over me with this passionate kiss. He pulls back nuzzling his nose against mine, making me release a quiet giggle from the affectionate action.
"Breakfast is ready baby, I made you your favourite" He smiles turning me to face the bench, where blueberry pancakes sit with steam rising from them.
"Thank you so much" I loudly say with a wide grin planted on my face.
"No problem baby, I would buy you the moon if I could" he smiles lovingly.
I blush at the loving gesture and take a seat on a bar stool at the kitchen bench, digging into the pancake deliciousness. I hear Xavier's chuckle at my eagerness for pancakes whilst I devour the pancakes into my ever-growing belly.
"The baby is craving food" I mentally smile to myself.
I'm knocked back into reality just as I take my last bite, when there is a loud knock on the front door, signaling Amelia's arrival.
"Amelia's here, I'll see you later okay baby" Xavier pouts slightly as he pulls me into his chest and nuzzles his head into the mark he placed on my neck.
"I'll be back soon Zee" I smile at his adorableness.
He lets me go from his loving embrace and a pat on my butt, gently pushing me towards the door.
Just as I reach the door, I hear Xavier yell out "I'll miss you and I love youu" like the clingy mate he is.
"I'll miss you and I love you too" I yell back like the clingy mate I am, as I open the front door.
As I open the door and I'm greeted with an overly cheerful Amelia pulling me into a tight hug. She pulls back with a mischievous smile, causing me to oh no in my head at the squeals and coos I'm about to receive when I finally tell her the news. I shut the door quickly, as she pulls me to her hot pink car with a skip in her step.
Once we are all seated in her expensive overly pink car, she turns to me with an expecting look, that says "tell me everything".
I position my body towards her and start explaining "I have a surprise I need to plan for Xavier, it's very important" she nods excitedly, and I continue "so the surprise is I umm am pregnant" I speak louder towards the end of the sentence, excitement filling me.
Just like I knew the squeals and coos ensue as she verbal diarrheas me with her extreme excitement.
"Oh my god, your pregnant, Yes oh my gosh I'm going to be an aunty, yes I will spoil them and buy them so many things. So much to plan-" she squeals but I cut of her verbal vomit.
"Slow your roll, now let me tell you how I want to surprise Xavier with the news" I say, resulting in the squeals to cease but she continues to vibrate with excitement.
"I want to go and buy a blue bag and some baby things to place inside, like clothes that say daddy's something or rather and a baby beanie, does that sound good?" I explain with slight nervousness that my plans not that great.
"That sounds like an awesome surprise, let's get this show on the road" she cheers as she starts the car, pulling off from the curb.
The drive isn't very long and soon we have arrived at the shopping center, that holds everything we will need for the surprise.
We exit the car with Amelia pulling me through the automatic doors and into the shopping center.
"Where to first" she asks, a bright smile on her face.
"Let's go to the baby shop over there and then to the gift supplies place to get tissue paper and a pastel yellow gift bag" I clearly explain.
We spend the next hour or so, with Amelia buying way too much baby supplies and selecting pastel yellow tissue paper and a matching pastel yellow gift bag, as well as brand new phone for myself as requested. By the time we are finished I am tired and hungry, not a great combination if I must say so myself.
Once we are both seated in her hot pink vehicle and all the supplies are carefully placed inside, we begin our drive to a takeaway drive through to get us some lunch.
Whilst we are driving, I am folding and preparing the clothes to be placed in the gift bag. The smile hasn't left my face since buying the baby clothes, the cute tiny clothes make this so much more real, and I couldn't be happier. The baby onesie is grey with the sentence 'daddies the hero' stitched on the front in black. This tiny piece of clothing makes my heart pump faster with nervousness, but that nervousness is overpowered by extreme excitement.
My fingers brush over the soft matching grey woolen beanie, just imagining how adorable our child will look in it. I know I have fallen pregnant very fast, but I couldn't be happier about the bundle of joy growing in my stomach and I hope Xavier feels the same way. I gently place the beanie with the onesie and wrap tissue paper around them placing them in the pastel yellow gift bag.
I'm zapped out of my baby wonderland, as the car slows to the voice box in the drive through of McDonald's. Amelia talks to the person on the speaker, ordering us 24 chicken nuggets to share and two large chips and cokes for each of us. My stomach growls from the delicious smell of chicken nuggets, as the give us our order through the sliding glass window.
A comfortable silence fills the car as we devour our meal with only light munching and groans of delight to be heard as Amelia drives me back home. I rub my stomach as I finish my last chip and take a long sip of my coke, just as the car stops in front of Xavier's fancy two story house. I place my rubbish in the bag she has attached to her glove compartment, turning towards her to grip her hands and look into her eyes.
"I'm so nervous" I confess with a nervous smile on my lips.
"You have nothing to be nervous about, Xavier will love you the child that's growing inside you regardless. He has wanted a family of his own for so long, he might even cry when you tell him the news" she laughs at the end of the reassuring speech.
"Thank you so much for being here for me" I smile as I wrap my arms around her in a tight hug over the car console.
"I will always be here if you need me" she smiles, rubbing my back comfortingly.
We say our goodbyes, as I exit the flashy vampire's vehicle with a pastel yellow bag and mobile phone in tow. We decided it would be a good idea to leave all the other baby supplies in her car, so the surprise wouldn't be revealed before I have a chance to say anything.
I walk up the gravel path to the door, using the spare key Xavier had given me a few days ago, to make sure when I did leave, I could get back inside the house without any issues. As soon as I walk through the front door, I hear Xavier's large steps entering the hallway area from the lounge room.
"Hey baby, did you have good day with Amelia" he smiles as he pulls me into his warm loving embrace.
"I had a great time, just a little bit tired but I have something to show you" I smile, trying to hold back my excitement and keeping my voice neutral.
"What's the matter? What do you need to show me?" he questions curiously as I lead him back into the large lounging area.
I take a seat on the soft gray couch, gesturing for him to do the same with my left hand as my right holds the pastel yellow gift bag.
"What's going on angel" he asks with a hint of nervousness but mainly curiosity, as he takes a seat on the couch beside me.
"I got you something" I say nervously with barely contained excitement.
I lift the pastel yellow gift bag into view and place it in front of Xavier. His eyes lock onto the bag with happiness.
"Oh you didn't have to get me anything angel" he grins, as he lifts the gift bag bringing it closer to himself.
My hands fidget in my lap and my feet tap repeatedly on the floor in a quiet rhythm, as he begins to open the present. He has a curious smile on his face as he unwraps the yellow tissue paper, revealing the gift inside. He pulls the beanie out first still slightly confused then when he lifts out the onesie, his curiousness turns to disbelief, then pure happiness.
"Are you serious" he says with building excitement and astonishment.
Ï nod grinning, whilst rubbing my slightly showing belly.
His eyes drift to my hand rubbing my belly and he shouts in pure joy and excitement. "Oh my gosh your pregnant, were having a baby, my angle is having our baby"
I giggle happily releasing my joy over the baby, as Xavier gets down on his knees and moving his head to nuzzle our pup through my stomach.
"Daddies here, I just want to say I love you so much and I can't wait for you to come out, so I can cuddle you endlessly with your mama" he coos at my stomach, making tears of joy rush to my eyes.
Xavier lifts his head away from my stomach to see me crying with a bright smile on my face. Tears well in his eyes as he presses his forehead against mine, our tears intermingling.
"I'm so happy right now" I cry with pure happiness.
"Me too baby me too" he sniffles as he joins our lips in a tear-filled kiss.
Happiness filled the both of us as we snuggled together sharing short but passionate kisses, as Xavier rubs my pregnant stomach. We fell asleep that night with smiles on our faces for the budding future.
