The sky was a bewitching shade of exquisite azure, alluring to the human eye when I stepped outside. I breathed in the enticing smell that the fragrant fields of dahlia and iris flowers let out and lent against the flimsy fence.
Honeysuckle clung to the old wooden gate and I stroked its soft petals, waiting for the magnificent sunset showdown to begin. Minutes passed and soon the burning star began to lower and disappear into the horizon.
Fiery crimson streaks appeared in the heavens with the hazy hues of orange on its tail. Deep purples and a dusty pinks came soon after and the sky become a paint splattered masterpiece of soulful beauty, ethereal and breathtaking.
The ocean of gold and amber began to fade with radiant beam of the sun that sank to its deep depths of retirement and so the sky began to darken, battling against the spirit of daylight, winning like it always did.
I tugged my blanket closet against my skin as the cool night began to reign in the skies. The black tranquillity leading me to an enchanting serenade of nighttime music.
The luminous stars began to appear, embedding the sky with elusive diamonds, milky speckles against the warm velvet. A constellation of lights in the heavens, winking to me down below, I was captivated as always with their luring aura, mesmerised by their enthralling hint of silver magic.
I gazed up in awe at the glowing moon with its greyish scars visible even from earth, It's raw elegance leaving me in a hypnotising state of fascination. The dainty outlines of the faint clouds drifted across the sky, dancing around the moon before submerging her in their dreamy confinement.
I adored it.
The crisp air of night settled and I raised my arms, eyelids lowered, as the wind spiralled in the serenity of the starlight.
It caressed my cheeks and slipped between my finger, awakening my spirit.
I stood in the swaying sea of emerald for a few minutes more before turning and returning inside to the manor.
Standing below the rich sky, I could imagine a world in which I was I was free as the darkness hid my grotesque scars and wounds from my sight and I could weep my tears in peace without the steel eyes of Master.
