Gin was the first to speak out. "Forever?! What do you mean forever?! You have to let us out eventually right?!"
Merlin calmly sipped his tea. "Do I? I don't remember making such a promise. As I said. Forever. None of you are leaving this place. Do what you will for the rest of your days."
Akasan realized something was wrong. He lowered his voice. "Judah. I can't use energy."
Judah whispered back. "My magic is gone too."
The others also noticed shortly.
Gin ran up to Merlin and hit him.
Merlin simply turned into blue mist and vanished.
The mist regenerated somewhere else and he returned. He took a sip of tea. "Ah. Peace and quiet. Wonderful is it not?"
Akasan looked at him. "No, it's not! I have to get back to Arbok after this! I don't have time for forever!"
