Hyrum was in a dark cellar. It was built from stone and iron, and it was cold— unbelievably so. He was being hung from the ceiling in chains. His breath came out in white misted clouds every time he exhaled. He was shirtless, and bloodied.
In the cellar next to him was Alex, in a similar position.
Hyrum looked over at him. "Still think we're having fun?"
Alex smirked. "Of course… we're here to gather information. You and I both know we could tear those guys to shreds whenever."
Hyrum sighed. "Don't let them break your spirit. Someone's supposed to be coming to see us tonight."
"I heard."
