Celena opened her eyes to a clear, bright blue sky. She immediately sat up, confused about what had happened. When she looked around, there were injured hunters either sleeping, talking, or eating.
She looked down at herself, all bandaged up and healed. "A dream…?"
"No, it was real." A man sat down next to her. "It was the scariest thing I've ever witnessed. Most of us are starting to consider retirement. There's no way I can go on another raid after experiencing that."
"What happened? I thought I died…"
"That guy saved you. Saved everyone." He pointed towards Gray, who laid asleep in the fields.
"He wasn't with us, was he?"
"No, he was. That's Bell's familiar. The bird. It transformed."
"Oh… okay then."
The man rested his arms on his knees. "So… you were an angel this whole time?"
Celena blushed out of embarrassment. "I'm sorry… I didn't want anyone to know."
"Hey, I won't tell anyone. I doubt anyone here would. You risked your life to save us… I couldn't even move."
