Makoto and Gida walked through the city together.
Makoto looked at him. "Got anything else to do today?"
"Uh, no, not really…"
"We should go visit the temple then, pay our respects."
"It's been a while since I've been inside. I avoid it on purpose. But we can go just this once, if you really want to."
Makoto smiled. "Great."

Somewhere in the city, there was a large white temple, almost like a church. It had a decent amount of traffic, people going in and out constantly.
Gida and Makoto looked up at it in all its glory and went inside. There was a long line of people inside, but they went around.
The citizens, young and old, both humans and demihumans, were walking up to a casket and praying.
Gida nervously put his hands in his pockets. "I can't wrap my head around it. They worship him like a god."
"He is God. To them, at least."
Gida walked closer to the casket. "They really should think about burying him soon. The dead should rest."
