Akasan rubbed his face on his arm.
Hanami let him go but she was still clinging to the edge of the bed. "You don't know how worried I was... it's been so long..."
Akasan looked up. "Long? How long?"
Mayumi looked up at him. "A month."
Akasan jolted. "Wait really?"
Anzu nodded. "You had us waiting."
"Sorry."
"Lighten up! It doesn't matter as long as you're alright."
"Did anything happen while I was out?"
Narumi looked around her for something. She picked up a newspaper off a chair and tossed it at him.
Akasan took the bandages off of his other hand and read it.
The front page read - CIVIL WAR INTENSIFIES IN BRITANNIA, THE REPUBLIC DOMINATES!
Narumi folded her arms. "News of the civil war in Britannia reached around the world. I don't even know what they're fighting over. But it looks bad."
Anzu picked her teeth. "You shouldn't have told him."
"Why not?"
Akasan clenched the paper tightly, wrinkling the sides. "I'm going."
