The unexplained image in front of you caused your heart rate to rise. Is it possible that your eyes are lying to you? Perhaps you need glasses, you should see a doctor...if you ever survive long enough to see one. Your thoughts made you frown. What if he decides to kill you? You were struck with dread. You bit his hand as hard as you could. The guy didn't see that coming and let out a pained groan as he retracted his hand.
The men scouring the rooftop were taken aback by the sound. It was a rather large rooftop with a lot of furniture concealed around, such as large closets, couches, tables, and other items that the residents didn't require. They all came to a halt and turned to stare in the direction of the scream. You were hopeful that they might help you, but seeing them made you want to hide in a hole and never come out. They were all frightening, with real swords and weaponry that didn't appear artificial or toy-like. But it wasn't their appearance that was alarming, it was the head of someone dangling from the huge man's palm, unconcerned by the blood on his hands.
" Who do we have here. It appears that you are in need of help cutie." the night went from bad to worse. You were ready to flee again when you sensed a presence behind you and a hand firmly grasping your arm, halting you. "There is no need for your unneeded assistance. If my memory serves me correctly, you do business with me "His voice, which had before been irritated, was now devoid of all emotion, merely icy, making you shudder. "That's right, fucker. Who were you concealing? You're being impolite by not introducing us to her." The bald man who was clutching someone's head spoke with an obnoxious grin that made you want to vomit.
"We'll have to skip that part, I'm afraid. You're wasting my time." The voice behind you had become annoyed. "It's all your fault, if you had simply remained still, you wouldn't be in this mess," he said again, just for you to hear, making you regret biting him. Maybe he isn't the bad guy in this situation...right? "Then lets not waste your precious time and let me teach you how to lose." As the bald guy said, his men behind him prepared their weapons. The guy behind you responded with a hearty laugh, as if mocking them.
"After the last battle, when you lost, I'm sure you put in a lot of preparation time, cute. Just give me a moment, and you'll get the opportunity to demonstrate how supposedly good you've gotten."
It all happened so quickly that you didn't have time to process what had happened. You were turned around, and the next thing you knew, his lips were on yours. When your legs were about to fall off from the shock, his hand slid around your waist, swiftly pulling you against his body. Both of your eyes were open, but his were neutral, as if he didn't want to reveal any emotion, while yours were wide open, indicating your obvious disbelief. His other hand slid into your hair and guided it. When you felt his tongue sweep over your lips, forcing his way into your mouth, you came to your senses.
Everything around you suddenly came to a halt, you stopped fighting, and you felt a wave of exhaustion sweep over you like you had never felt before. "I'm sorry I had to," he whispered against your lips as he slowly backed away. It was the last thing you heard him say before collapsing unconsciously in his arms as if you'd been given heavy sleeping medication. Before surrendering to weariness, your final thought was that the jerk had stolen your first kiss.
"This is going to be boring," he murmured as he laid her down softly, a bit away from the inevitable battle.
You were awakened by the sound of your phone ringing, which gave you a headache. You carefully took your blanket off, already missing the warmth it offered. "It's 6:00..." you murmured to yourself, half-asleep, as you sat there trying to wake up. You immediately noticed that your clothes from last night were still on you. "What an odd dream," you thought to yourself as you dragged yourself to the bathroom to take a shower after forgetting to do so the night before. You went about your daily routine, standing in front of the mirror, dressed and ready to depart.
As you stepped through the school gates, nervously fidgeting with your jewelry, you looked for your only best friend from three years ago. Melani. You both despised one other, more so she despised you and you despised her back, but thanks to a massive disaster, you've become best friends out of nowhere. She was your first and only friend, and she made your life a bit more fascinating, which you appreciate. She's a bit taller than you, or at least most of the females were, which both irritated you and made it easier to hide behind tall people when you needed to. "BOO," you gasped, putting your hand over your heart as though to soothe it.
You didn't bother to turn around since you already knew who it was. Thankfully, few kids were inside, as they would have rather to remain outside and enjoy the sun rising. "Do you have to scare me like that all the time?" you inquired. "I was bored while waiting for you, idiot" You rolled your eyes at her response and walked upstairs to your classroom, knowing she'd be right behind you. "Sorry, I had to take a shower because I forgot to yesterday," you said, despite the fact that you promised her to arrive half an hour early to school, and class starts in 7 minutes. "I'll forgive you this time, but you'll be dead meat the next time"
"Oh, by the way, I have to go to Mrs. Hill because she requested my assistance with something, so I'll see you at lunch." She groaned and walked in the opposite direction to Mrs. Hill's office. You did not mind and went on your way. When you walked into your classroom, you spotted a guy seated in the back near the open window, his head on the table, as if sleeping. You moved slowly to your assigned seat, which was just next to him. "Perhaps he's the new student who was supposed to arrive last week," you reasoned as you discreetly took out your English book for the lesson, hoping it would begin soon.
After a while he jerked awake and gently lifted his head, yawning. You could feel him shift his head toward you and stare at you. "Should I announce myself as the class representative?" you think to yourself, considering whether or not you should. You turned to him with a sigh and was going to introduce yourself because it was your responsibility to get to know your students and guide them, but you froze when you saw him. Your eyes gently expand in recognition as you both glanced at one other, he appeared bored. " I-it wasn't a dr-eam?" you murmured quietly.
