Chapter 2 - Prologue

"Jinsun, tell me why... I sent you, and Loi to kill Himla... And you failed? You were supposed to be our strongest..." A large purple dragon said to a red dragon that was also large, but not nearly as large as the purple dragon. He was not nearly as fast is it either.

He knew that he needed to choose his next few words carefully... Any mishap could get him killed, every black dragon knew that. This was a cruel and heartless leader that he was talking to. He shivered, he was not ever a part of wanting to be in this war, but he knew who his leader was, and he also knew what would happen to him if he refused to be a part of all of this.

The purple dragon looked back at him with a smile on his face, almost as if he knew what the dragon was thinking about. It kind of scared the black dragon none the less as well. He knew that the purple dragon was one of the smartest dragons that he had ever met.

The red dragon did not want to tell the purple dragon the truth either, he knew that he would not believe him. Even though he knew for a fact that they had found her in the territory of the red dragons. She would make the excuse that she was scouting them for her father, but she never did tell her father what they had found.

Because of that, they had walked right into a trap... At least Loi had managed to kill Himla's son. Which was also supposed to be the dragon of destiny... He was not so sure if that was true quite yet either. Himla could still be the dragon of destiny...

The main goal of that attack was to kill the leader of the red dragons, and that was what they had failed to do. He knew that the leader of the black dragons had every right to be angry, he knew that they had failed the attack, and he feared telling him the truth as of why... But he felt like he must do so anyways...

"Your daughter was in the territory of the red dragons... You told me that she had even admitted it to you! How can you not comprehend that your daughter betrayed us?" He said to the purple dragon. The purple dragon looked at the red dragon for a few moments, just squinting his large eyes at him.

He then laughed and then looked away, the purple dragon knew that she had been there, and she had told him why she had done so, she had said the exact same thing that she had said to the black dragons that had found her. She was just scouting the area, and he still was not sure of her.

"It was not my daughter, she did not have enough time to scout them... She could not bring me back enough information... This is my own fault, I rushed to fast, the kid told the red dragons about us... They saw this war coming, and we did not even get to kill him either." He said to the black dragon. Looking down at the ground a bit sadly.

It was not a look of fear, but it was a look of sadness, and failure. The purple dragon did not fear anything, every dragon knew that. But he had let down his entire species, every dragon realized that they had walked into a trap and now many of the black dragons were not so sure that this whole war was so much of a good idea.

They had to keep going on, the humans were becoming to strong, and they were spreading out far too much. At some point, they would find the dragons, and they would exterminate the whole species... He just wished Himla would come to a reality on that... They used to be good friends.

After a fight that had broke out quite a long time ago, that friendship had broken apart, they did not agree on very many things. Now they were no longer friends, and now Plyma wanted to kill all of the red dragons... They were a stupid species, they took the side of the humans.

It did not make any sense to him, could he not comprehend the fact that the humans would kill the dragons if they found them? It did not make sense, he would much rather hide his tribe, then to fight with the black dragons and kill the humans...

They could not live on the planet together, humans were stupid, and they used to hunt us for sport... Now the dragons had to hide from them, and pretend as if they did not exist. He looked up at the black dragon as the black dragon began to speak to him.

"How can you so easily rule that out? It all points up to that... She was gone for a long time and she had no information to give us..." The black dragon said back to the purple dragon, a bit loudly and a bit angrily. The black dragon realized that he had made a mistake talking to the leader like that.

However the leader did not seem to care very much... He knew that Jinsun was a friend of his, and he was just looking out for him. He knew that there was a chance that he could he right as well... He just did not want to believe that his daughter could betray them like that. He began to speak back to his friend about all of it.

"No... She wouldn't do that, it was that human, he told them about us... He is still alive now, he is probably among us as we speak right now." He said to him. He then looked around expecting to see the human anywhere, but he was nowhere to be seen this time.

The black dragon knew that he was the only one that could see him as well, so he did not even bother trying... Only red dragons were able to see that human in his dreams, and luckily enough, Plyma was a half red dragon... If it had ended up that he was not, then they would be in a lot more trouble.

The black dragon then turned his head and looked away, he knew that it had to be his daughter that had betrayed them, it only made sense, the human was new to all of this and he had no idea what was going on, it just did not add up... He just shook his head and walked away from his friend...
