Schaffe and Ian were fueling up a woodstove in a basement room in their base. They were both on a couch playing video games as they lived in this room in the winter to fuel the wood stove at night.
"Alright, what should we play tonight?" asked Schaffe.
"Super Jump Dude Three always fun to play high," said Ian.
"Yeah, I guess it's that one tonight," said Schaffe. "Even though we do not make it through half the game because of being too high."
"True, but it's fun though," said Ian. They turn on the television start the game and play the game till they pass out from being too high to keep playing.
The next morning, they got up and headed to the kitchen which is in the building next door, and ate breakfast. Schaffe was cooking while the jail was reading the mail they got.
"Anything good?" asked Schaffe.
"Nothing, really just junk," said Ian. They see Phil and Alan enter the room.
"Boys, good work on keeping us warm last night," said Phil.
"Yeah, no problem said Ian.
"I knowtist you wake up early now," said Schaffe.
"Yeah, something came back with me I guess from boot camp. If only our sergeant was not a dick," said Phil. "Wanted to kill him a couple of times."
"Not the only one. It was a hell I wish to never go back to," said Schaffe.
"You had easier than us you must admit it because that fancy eye of you have. Who knows it gives you better endurance as well," said Ian.
"Beats me, dude," said Schaffe. "I just got lucky I guess." They see a Brotherhood vehicle stop in front.
"Ah, here we go boys. Our new inmate," said Alan.
"Damn, really give us more…" said Phil. He would see it was a young woman who exited the vehicle It was Sara before she took over the Brotherhood of New York. She had shorter hair down to her shoulders and was wearing dark green army fatigues.
"She seems too young to be a high-ranking officer," said Schaffe.
"I mean this is somewhat better than a stickler like I thought," said Phil.
"She might have got promoted to Knight. That's the only thing, I fear," said Alan. They let her in and she introduced herself.
"Hello, my name is Sara Maxson, Knight and leader of your squad," said Sara. "I believe I know you by profiles I have read."
"My first question is how long have you been a Knight?" questioned Schaffe.
"How about we reframe from that info," said Sara trying to not tell them is just been promoted to Knight.
"So, welcome to our base for now," said Ian.
"Hm? You guys think of moving?" questioned Sara.
"Yeah, we have a place near a settlement. Which we plan to move to in the spring," said Schaffe.
"Sounds good to me. It better we work near a settlement as more people just want the help and more, we can focus on paying your debt," said Sara.
"Alright," said Schaffe. They help her get her things to an empty apartment in their building.
