I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I walk into the main building of the Academy. The waxed floors again.
The waiting room for which was the first place I seen Arianna. I walk slowly. My vans pressing lightly against the ground. My shorts coming above my knee as my plaid shirt blended in with the darkness of the building.
That's when I saw Moss walking down the hall. His hands in his pockets with a grin on his face, surprised to see that I actually came to meet him. This was place was deserted. Besides a few other students making their way back to the dorm. Some having small talk in the middle of the hall. I walk past them and stand as Moss came up to me.
"Hello, Mann. Glad you could make it," he says.
I nod a little.
"Who did you want me to meet?" I ask. Everything in me wanted to see Mente. Hopefully it was. I wouldn't be alone with such great power.
It would feel great for someone to share all of this with me. Someone who understood my strength. Moss began walking a bit in front of me. "This universe is full of life. Earth isn't alone. In fact, we've never been alone. We were never the first civilization. Our powers are meant for protection of the universe. Ranked from the weakest to the strongest." Moss walks and talks, waving his hand around, catching my attention with the words he was saying.
"This person you're about to meet us just under you. So strong he isn't able to control his power. He is the most... special one here. Stands out from most people here. Not only from his power, but his physical appearance." Moss stopped at a door.
"He holds the key to all the answers." Moss opens the door. I step into the room.
I was greeted with the smell off baked cake. The couches perfectly aligned. Moss closes the door. Leaving me in this room not knowing what to do.
"Anyone there?" I hear. The voice lingered through the living room. The fire-place going. I swallow, about to answer. I move my hair from my face and behind my ears, looking around. "Mann... Mann Kingsman," I say. Something caught my eye. My head darted to the right of the room. Where a doorway led to a small kitchen.
There stood a man. An average looking man. The hallway behind him being dark, only showing his face and chest as he looks at me. I open my mouth. His eyes being as white as clouds. Hard to believe he wasn't blind.
He had Asian hair, yet brown skin as if he were African American. Had to be Indian. "Kingsman." He smiles and steps from the darkness.
My eyes widen. Behind him followed the craziest shit I've ever seen. The big ass pair of wings. Ones white as his eyes. On his head were large horns. horns that curved in and curved out as they reached the tip of them. Some sort of angel was he. Jawline perfect, body shape perfect, height perfect, His jawline, damn. So sharp it was hard to believe it was real. "You've come here today because Moss has sent you? Am I correct?" He asked.
I swallow and nod my head.
My eyes focused on them damn wings. Them damn horns. His shadow giving me a Satan vibe to it. "Questions to be answered, aren't you?" he asked.
"With such power... you feel... alone?" he asked.
I watch as he pours tea in a glass mug. He wore these loose pants, no socks, and shirtless. "And yes... I am an angel. A fallen one. Fell 6 million years ago. God made me a Commandment. I'm sure you don't know what that is... do you?" he says. I don't even know this man's name, yet I feel like I've known him all my life.
I truly had nothing to say.
He takes a sip. I could hear the slurps as he smiles and sets the mug back down. "Don't be so shy. I'm King. Yess... I knoooow. My name is King. We already have something in common, don't we, Kingsman?" King asked.
He smiles at me for another five seconds.
"Is there anyone as strong as me?" I ask.
King looks down and grabs a mint from a small bowl on the wooden table. There were no TVs in the room. No phone anywhere. Nothing. Only books. Like an old styled house from the 1800's or something.
"Well... Mann. I'm not sure if you've heard of her. Mente. Right?" King smiles.
"I know who she is." I take a seat on the chair.
"She isn't as strong as you. But stronger. A lot stronger. In fact so strong, she no longer has a limiter. Breaking it. But don't let that scare you, for there are two more of her. She is Guardian of the universe while on is Guardian of Hell, and the other is Guardian of Heaven. She may be all powerful Entity, but she can be defeated. For her powers can be passed on to someone worthy of them. But you... you have no limiter either. I can sense it. But fighter her will only end with you being placed with a limiter. She will give you one in a challenge with her. She don't know her full power yet her using 3 percent of her power will end up crushing the universe. So she doesn't try when she fights." King sits across from me.
"Who are the others?" I ask.
"Kyutie is a Commandment. Me, you, and other's I have yet to discover. All Commandments reside on this rocky planet for no other planet is safer for them. If either of these Commandments are forced to use their full power, anything around them could be destroyed, especially Mente," King answered.
Talking to him was so good. His voice was so calm. As if he'd told this story so many times. I sit back and watch as he takes another sip of his drink.
"Are there others outside of the academy?" I ask.
King nods.
"She's highly dangerous. Her name is, Mira She'd shown skills similar to Mente. The depression, the strength. So strong she doesn't need to hit anyone in order to kill them. Her healing factor is something out of this universe. But with great strength comes great depression. For Commandments can't kill each other nor give each other a challenge. Only commandment that kill another is Mente. But I highly doubt she'd have interest in fighting someone who has done nothing wrong to her." King looks down.
I was happy to hear that Jason wasn't one of these Commandments. That would've really ruined my evening.
It was a good talk with him. Answered everything.
I stand.
"Heading back to the dorm so fast?" he asked.
I nod.
"So sad. Thought you would've stayed for a drink of wine or two. I really like talking to you, Kingsman. And that girl, Arianna." He stands. I listen hard. "Don't tell anyone I told you this, but she thinks you're cute," he informed me.
My heart dropped as I stuttered.
"O... oh... thank you," I put my hand on the doorknob.
"Joining the Entrance Fights?" King asked. All these names for this big event people are talking about. A battle for people who sign up to fight other students to be placed in a higher and better luxury building depending on their wins and scores.
"Perhaps. Kyutie said she's going to request a challenge with Mente. I might request a challenge with Kyutie and Jason," I say.
King nods.
"See you in the fight." He winks at me and begins to walk towards the kitchen again. I watch him a bit before opening the door and leaving. I close the door behind me.
