Daku's Point of View
It was a cold morning. I was waiting on the balcony of the silver palace of the north side of dark magic, waiting for this miserable royal get together to end. I hate events like these; I always have. I'm 14 now, and my father should have learned by now how miserable I am at these events, but he doesn't care.
I put my hands onto the cold railing, and stood leaning up to it, as clouds started to start up in the sky. It was going to rain, which made me almost angry due to the fact that I would have to go inside with everyone else.
"I hate everything right now..."I complained, under my breath.
I heard a voice from behind me."Me too,"
I looked over to the other side of the balcony, to see a handsome boy who looked to be 15. His hair was a beautiful blonde, with dark tips of his long bangs. He easily had the most gorgeous dark purple eyes that I have ever seen. He was wearing similar fancy black clothing to me.
"I never liked these events, either, they suck,"he said.
"Yeah, tell me about it,"I responded.
He leaned up to the balcony, right next to where I was. "My sister, Edelweiss, made me come here. I mean, this event is to celebrate her engagement,"
"Does that mean that you guys are hosting it?" I asked.
"Yeah,"
"Oh, sorry about that. I know that it's the worst when you're the one hosting it," I replied.
"It's okay, I just don't like it when everyone is paying attention to me,"
"I can understand that, my father keeps trying to find some random princess to marry when I turn 18," I said.
"My parents do the same thing, but Edelweiss is marrying for love, maybe we can too,"
I looked it the floor. "Hopefully, but probably not."
"Why do you say that?"
"It's just because my father is determined to make an alliance with one of the lands, and besides, no one really wants me."
"I'm sure that someone will, Daku,"
I looked directly at him. "How did you know my name?"
"You're famous. How would I not know your name?"
"But aren't you a prince,too?"
"I am, I just don't have the spotlight on me or anything, like you do."he said.
"So what is your name?"I asked.
"I'm Katsuki Blue,"he answered.
It had quickly started lightly raining, with a slight thunder.
" I guess we should go inside,"said Katsuki.
"Yeah,"
I opened the large glass doors to the balcony, and I waited for Katsuki to walk through, and then I did.
A woman came up to us."Katsuki, where have you been? You're supposed to be talking to people,"
"I'm sorry, mother-"
"What are you talking about? He has been talking to people!! Tons of people!!"I lied.
"Oh, okay."the woman, or Katsuki's mother apparently, walked away from us, to talk to another one of the royals.
"Why'd you lie, man?" questioned Katsuki.
"Because she would've made you be in the spotlight, which I know you don't like, so I lied. I mean technically, you've been talking to me, so I wasn't fully lying,"
Katsuki chuckled. " I like talking to you,"
"Me too, Katsuki," I said as we made eye contact, and I smiled and blushed a little for no apparent reason.
We were hanging out the rest of that night, and I guess that this particular event wasn't so bad.
10 Months Later
Katsuki told me to meet him by the creek by my palace, and I was walking towards it. Earlier in the day, I had offered to go to his place, but he declined and said that he wanted to practice using portals. I know my boyfriend, so I know that he is very serious about improving his magical skill.
Two weeks after I first met him, Katsuki confessed his love for me and I knew I felt the same, so we agreed to start dating. I call him sugar, because he's sweet like sugar.
I walked until I reached the creek, and when I did, I was greeted by Katsuki.
"Hey, Baby," said Katsuki, as he stood up and walked closer to me.
"So uh, why did you want to meet me here?" I asked.
Katsuki came a little bit closer to me, and grabbed both my hands, and he smiled. "I have some exciting news,"
"What is it?"
"Your father wants you to marry a royal when you turn 18, right?"
"Yeah, where are you going with this,"
"Well, our parents agreed to let us get married when we turn 18!!" Katsuki said enthusiastically.
"Oh my god, are you serious?! My father agreed to that?!"
"Yes!! He did!!"
I took my hands away from Katsuki's, and I put my hands on his cheeks. I looked into his beautiful eyes, and smiled. He looked back at me."I love you, and I'm so excited to marry you, I really do love you, sugar,"
"I love you , too," said Katsuki, right before we closed our eyes, and kissed.
We stopped kissing, and I took my hands off of his cheeks. I spoke. "Do you wanna meet me here again tomorrow?"
"I'm sorry, I can't. My sister's wedding is tomorrow, but we can the day after,"
"Sure," I said, as we kissed again.
After we stopped kissing, Katsuki looked down at his watch.
"Oh no, I've gotta be going," Katsuki pecked my lips. "Bye!! I love you!!"
Katsuki walked off, and I waved and called to him."Bye!! I love you too!!"
I smiled and walked back to the palace, thinking about how I had just been given all that I ever wanted; a marriage that isn't loveless.
Present Day
"...but little did I know what was going to happen the very next day." I told them everything. I never talked about it to anyone until now. I cried, I bawled, because just thinking about any of it hurts me sometimes.
"The next day was the day of my wedding, and that's when the demon showed up. It didn't only take Katsuki, it took my husband as well. If only I knew who summoned the demon...they are the only person who I truly hate. Whoever they are took my brother and the love of my life away from me. I want revenge." explained Edelweiss. She had also been crying, but not as much as I was.
"I think that we should just leave the stables,I think that was a lot to take in." said Belinda.
Edelweiss wiped her tears."Yeah, she's probably right,"
Belinda and Edelweiss walked away, and when I started to walk away too, something had stopped me.
