I held his hands tightly. "It is a long story. All I know is that the council made it look like you died."
"But why would they do that?"
"You know they never wanted us together. they tried so hard to tear us apart Chase. They brought you here but I didn't know I was going to find you here and your parents..." I stopped and stared into his eyes. I shouldn't have said that.
"What about my parents?" he asked. "Are they okay? Did anything happen to them? Inez, please answer me."
"They left NYC." I sighed. "But..."
"What?"
"I know. They were in pain about their som's death."
"But I didn't die. Look at me."
"But they don't know that. They watched you get buried but don't worry."
"Why shouldn't I? I don't know where they went or if they are okay. I am worried."
"My parents are searching for them. They will tell me their location when they find them."
