"You look so cute together, you know I always knew you both would end up together," my mum says taking a picture of us in our flowing graduation gowns.
I smile at her.
"Yes, mum and you've said it over twenty times in two years" I remind her.
"Well, it doesn't matter how many times I say it as long as it's the truth" she defends herself.
"Why don't you and Richard join them so I'll take a picture of all of you together," Jake's dad says gesturing to my mum and dad.
My mum and dad join us and so does Josh even if no one invited him.
"Say please," Jake's dad says, smiling at us.
"Isn't it meant to be cheese?" Jake remarks playfully.
"Be nice" I say and hit him in the side gently, he smiles at his dad. The relationship between the two has been shaky but at least it has improved a lot, his dad has made a lot of effort even to the point that it's a bit too much.
"Ok my bad, say cheese" he corrects himself still smiling widely.
