The next morning, I get off from my bed and heading to the bathroom to wash my face, the teeth, and take a quick dump before I was about to head to the kitchen and eat breakfast, my mother stopped me and looked at me.
"Good morning, Lydia! Have you slept well?"
"Um... Good morning to you, mom! Yes. I have slept well." I told my mother who let me go to the kitchen and prepare my breakfast who consist of eating a few sandwiches with strawberry jam. While I was making two sandwiches to eat, my mother looked at me and asked.
"At what hour are you going to be home?"
"Like always. At five." I said to my mother going to my table.
"Lydia... I just wanted to talk something important to you." says my mother who is sitting on the other side of the table.
"It is about the fact that I have started to come home much more late than unusual?" I thought to myself while I am looking at my mother.
"What is it about?" I asked my mom.
"You are lesbian."
After she said that sentence, I screamed to myself and forced to not laugh at the thing she has said because it has sounded so hilarious, but also, what she said was something much weirder than the crap I am dealing with almost every day, and I am not meaning the fact that I am going to high school, that crap is normal for every human being when he reaches teenager life.
"Wh-What are you talking about?" I asked my mother feeling quite embarrassed at the last sentence she said to me.
"The fact that you come late, and you also said that you are going to a friend, but I have never seen you or heard that you have a boyfriend or just a boy as a friend..."
"I have male friends... Somehow..." I thought to myself while I am remembering the guys I am working at 5th Team and the boy who helped me become human-werewolf and who is also my crush.
"... but knowing how your behavior and the fact that you are a good student who is working harder to achieve perfect grades like always..."
"I achieve better grades with the help of Alexandra who gave me a drink, who can help me memorize every textbook, in almost every hard exam." I thought to myself while I listen to what my mother is talking to me.
"... So, I concluded that you are into girls."
"I am not into girls," I say to my mother who made her suspicious that I lie to her. "I am honestly not into girls. I am into guys. Guys. Like every normal teenager, mom."
"Alright, then why are you coming late? Is it because you are smo-"
"I am not, Mom! It is not about smooching or anything. I just don't have a boyfriend because I am too little for this thing!"
"Well... Then tell me why are you coming late?"
"It is simple. I. Am. Studying."
"Studying at what? Where? And with who?"
"At every subject in school! At a Library! And I am studying alone!" I almost yelled at my mom hile I say that sentence, which could turn into a more serious problem. "And anyway, can you let me eat my sandwich and then let me go to school?"
My mother didn't say anything, and she decided to leave me alone, take her coffee and go back to her sofa, where she will watch her Spanish drama from the morning. I wonder what shift she had today at her work, I just hope it will be at night because I could go silently to my bedroom and without being yelled at because I came home too late. Or worse, she could have a free today and I will be in trouble if she will start following me.
My mom has started to behave like a cop on interrogation when he sees me arriving late, or even with dirty clothes like it was three days ago when I got home with oil marks on my blouse and a rip on my jeans. I was able to convince her that those oil stains were from a man I ate at that sandwich shop that made egg sandwiches or other sandwiches, and with the scratch on my jeans, I told her that is normal because that's how it's fashionable to go to school nowadays. Anyway, my family doesn't know that I am half-human-and-half-werewolf, the only people who know that I am werewolf and human are my team with whom I am working with, the whole organizations I joined, and one teacher at my school, who is just like a hunter, but he is always working alone.
I finished eating the breakfast, and after that, I am going to my bedroom, I am changing into my school clothes, I brushed my teeth for a minute or two, then I take the backpack, put my shoes on, and leaves the house saying "Goodbye!" to my mother who is still watching that Spanish drama. After I left the house, I saw Jacob who was flying to me and told me he needs help to catch that eagle.
"Where is it now?"
"Right there," says Jacob pointing to the eagle who is flying around the barrage.
"Alright, then," I say while I transform my left arm and aimed for that eagle who is flying in circles.
"Whoa! Whoa!" yelled Jacob trying to stop my hand, but he forgot he can't because he is a ghost and not a human or a monster, just a spirit who could interact with monsters or half-monsters.
"Then how do you think we are going to catch it?" I say to him while I walk to the bus station because in almost fifteen minutes the next minibus will be about to arrive at the station and leave without me.
While and Jacob is going to the station, I saw that eagle started to fly into other direction, at the city, so I have decided to do what I had to do, I aimed with my right hand, then I turned it into a werewolf hand and shoot the Eagle with just a single big nail. The nail has hit the eagle and made it fall on a tree. Jacob wasn't cautious when I did that action because I have done it fast and he didn't caution see that. Jacob flies to that direction to see if the Eagle will be fine, but right when I was about to leave and continue my road to the bus station, Jacob flies to me and told me.
"False alarm! That eagle was just a normal one. Probably one who escaped the Zoo."
"Are you serious?" I ask while I transformed my werewolf hand back into normal.
"Yeah... Don't worry. it was just an ordinary eagle. And probably nobody has seen you launching the big nail with your werewolf hand."
"Yes... Let's hope..."
And after that, I and Jacob were going to the bus station and waits for the one who will pick us and deliver to the city where I and Jacob will go back to our school. A few weeks ago, It had been very strange to go to school with a ghost, but over time, it began to seem normal to me, given that none of my classmates were mutants, half-humans, spirits, vampires, or demons.
When I have arrived at the bus station are four people like every morning, plus another one who watched my attention. In that station, there was someone I did not expect to be there, a boy at my age, and that blonde long hair boy, who is slim, has a backpack and wears scratched clothes, and that boy who is there is my invisible teammate who wears a fake skin and comes here for a reason.
"Morning," I say to the other students who are at that bus station and are waiting for the minibus to come and take us to our schools.
"Morning." says all the four students to me, and the fifth who is Travis disguising as a high schooler.
"Hey, there," says Travis to me while he didn't notice that weird looks the other high schoolers are giving to him.
Yeah, this minibus journey would be interesting, a long ride.
"Hey... Mihai."
"Yeah, that's me. Mihai," says Travis while he takes a quick look at those students who looked at him.
"So. How are you doing today?"
"Great. I just woke up and came to take the minibus because... the bike has been broken." says Trevor in his "Mihai" costume and he winks at me while he said the bike.
"I think he means the truck," says Jacob making me skip a heartbeat because I forgot about him for a second.
"Yeah..." whispers Travis to Jacob.
"Alright. And I really thought you are a good driver."
"I am..." whispers Travis to Jacob who is staying closer to make because of making the other four students thinking he whispers something to me. "But I was attacked by someone. The Mike Killer."
"The one who searches for little kids and mutilate them to make puppets from their organs, while he wears a clown costume?"
"Yeah. It is a long story but it would be a better idea to tell you at the base. Right now we cant."
"I understand." I whispered at Travis and then take a look at the street and saw a minibus coming from almost fifteen meters. "It looks like our bus has come." I take three Ron from my pocket and enter the bus together with the other four high schoolers, Travis and Jacob. I and Travis are sitting on the same chair and we are waiting to arrive at our destination.
