"What happened?" Suzue immediately ask after going out in her room.
She can still remember the quietness of the room. The houses with no residents and the town filled with nothing but silence.
But now... Suzue frown and rubs the back of her neck.
Kai smiled at her while calmly putting his tea cup on the table.
He's so calm and seems like he already expected everything to happen.
"Do you know something?" Suzue ask. Feeling suspicious by his actions.
"Do you think i know something?" The girl can sense a hint of Deja vu on his question then shove it back on her mind.
She remembered that this conversation also happened a few days ago.
"Don't answer my question with a question" she tiredly said and sat in front of him.
She saw clive walking towards the kitchen as if the phenomenon Outside is beyond his business.
He doesn't care at all. Different from what a knight should act.
But then he was only trained as a knight behind the prince.
"What do you want to know?"
Suzue frown. She could sense that the man is unwilling on giving her some information.
She doesn't know why. Is it because it might give her some information that will endanger her?
Or is it because he might disclose something useful that she have been waiting for?
But why?.
The man in front of her is someone suzue couldn't read. She couldn't understand and couldn't trust.
And she completely knows it.
But she couldn't find herself staying away from him. She couldn't help but stick close to him.
His eyes that resembles the stars that seems to be sparkling, silver and clear. She always find herself staring at them.
They were cold yet warm. Whenever he stares at her, those piercing seems yo be staring straight right on her sould. She could only feel dumb and numb.
Suzue is always been rational on her decisions and actions since the day she came in this world.
She always calculate her steps and words when facing an unknown situation.
But whenever she's in front of him.. she just lost all her sanity, she wanted to stay away from him but couldn't.
She doesn't know if this is love or obsession.
She knows how eager she is to keep him closely to her, and she also knows how dangerous it is to keep her self entangled with him.
The two of them seems to be playing a game that they know is easy.
You just need to stay away to wind... To stick together to lose.
"Tell me about this village" but she keep on walking towards that path.
Hesitating to turn back.
Letting him stab her in the back.
"Are you sure you wanted to ask me about it? What if i lie? What if i could control you with this information?"
Suzue went quiet.
She completely know the possibility of her trusting him again.
But she could only close one eye and keep on going back towards him.
She knows he will life.
She knows he will use her.
But she doesn't know why... What benefit would it gives him if he will control her?
Deceive her? Use her?
Suzue could still remember his silhouette slowly being eaten by the flames.
She could still feel the warmth of his hand holding hers.
Seeing him enduring the the hot flames the burning ember brought.
'peyton!' she could still hear his desperate calling after seeing her weak figure waiting for death.
'you are so stupid... if only i met you earlier'
Was it that day she started falling deeply?
Or was it just simply guilt disguising itself with desire?
Peyton doesn't know... Her heart beats loudly whenever he's there.
Her eyes keep staring at him even though she doesn't want to.
She couldn't control her emotions when he's there.
She can't help but feel stupidly infatuated with him.
If this was only a simple guilt and admiration she should have known earlier.
If she have known earlier she wouldn't be deceive with these feelings.
She wouldn't have confused it with love.
Then she wouldn't be feeling like this.
"Yes. Tell me what you know"

"Welcome back my lady" The maids and butlers all greeted the blonde haired girl when she walk down the carriage.
lilith simply nod at them and waited for ethan.
"My lady, the duke is in his office, i already informed him about your arrival. may i ask who's this little young man?"
the head butler greeted her.
lilith stared at ethan and the boy stared back at her.
"He's my little brother. sister decided to adopt him. if i remember correctly, sister already informed father about this. Did he not told you?"
the head butler couldn't help but furrowed his eyebrows. it doesn't take a genius to know that he is confused.
lilith raises her eyebrow and frown a bit, she knows that her father wouldn't forget about something as important as this.
"He probably forgot" lilith said. but it didn't lessen the confusion of the butler and then suddenly he seems to finally remembered something.
"Yes, My apologies milady. it was my fault. Your father told me about you adopting. my memory has been failing me because of my age, i accidentally forgot about it"
"no, it was my sister's decision not mine"
"sister?"
"yes... oh father i'm back" lilith greeted the duke who's walking down the stairs and immediately went towards him while holding ethan's hand.
"hm, welcome back"
"Sister isn't with me. but don't worry she said not to worry about her." lilith reassured the duke with a lie.
because first of all her sister didn't told her to give a message towards the duke she just simply said that she won't be coming home.
but he's their father. she wanted to lie a bit.
"sister?" lilith felt weird.
she raises her eyebrow and stared suspiciously at the confuse expression on her father's face.
"Who are you talking about lilith?"
lilith chuckles and smiled helplessly at her father.
"Father i know sister always tend to suddenly do something without your permission but you can't just simply forgot about her"
lilith suddenly felt nervous at his father's confused face. but his next words was unexpected.
"What are you talking about lilith?. you are my only child"
