First day of another season of baseball at West Wood High. I'm the star player so everyone loves me and cheers me on. I have girls all over me and usually I'm all for them, but this new girl came in town. I can't get her off my mind. Her beautiful long blazing ginger hair with curls that bounce as she walks, ocean blue eyes that I get lost in, a voice that sounds so smooth and calming. I haven't worked up the nerve to talk to her yet and I don't know much about her. I do know her name is Carson, she is 17, we are in the same grade, we have French together, and she is my new neighbor.
I'm the hottest and most popular guy in school crushing on the new girl who has no friends, always has here head down listening to music in her earbud's way to loud. We walk to school every day but whenever she goes home, she always goes the opposite way but I have practice so I can't ever figure out where she is going. every day we have French I try talking to her, but I never get myself to say a word.
We met at a back-to-school party that I was hosting. It was the night before school, and everyone had been drinking that night. I was drunk off my ass and I still remember what she was wearing yet I still couldn't work up the nerve to talk to her. She was a black, Pink Floyd t-shirt, ripped jeans, fish net leggings underneath, black combat boots and a hoodie around her waist. I don't know how she found out about the party because it looked like she didn't know anyone. The first time I saw her at the party she was dancing to the song Devil Town by Cavetown. Her hair flowed against her body as she dances not as gracefully yet she still made it look so beautiful and amazing. For a girl she had a very interesting choice of drink. I expected her to choose something fruity like girls normally do but instead she grabbed the whole bottle of Jack Daniels and started drinking it and dancing like no one was watching it was so breath taking.
I didn't expect to see her again but when I started walking to school, I saw her walking not too far in front of me jamming to music wearing another outfit that I never thought a girl would wear. She was wearing another black t-shirt, black jeans, black combat boots, and a hoodie. I never got to see what shirt was wearing because by the time I saw her in French class she had put on her Led Zeppelin hoodie on. I don't get why she was in French class anyways because when the teacher asked if anyone knew what the board said she was the only one to raise their hand and she said it so perfectly and clearly. I don't remember what the phrase even was, but I just remember who amazing and smoothing her voice was.
This girl looked so perfect and so beautiful, yet she had so many cuts on her arms. Ever since I saw them, I understood why she wears hoodies and long sleeves at school every day. Every time I see the cuts, I wonder why someone as beautiful and kind as her would have so many self-inflected wounds. I just want to wrap her up in my arms and tell her, her worth and that someone cares. I don't understand why someone would want to cause themselves pain like that but then again, I'm not depressed and feel loved and amazing.
She makes my brain so crazy that I can't think straight or even in order of how things should go in. Whenever I'm around her it's so hard to form correct sentences, I can't think correctly, I can't even spell the simplest of words. Every second I'm away from her I miss her terribly and I don't know why. My mom is friends with her dad because they work together and every time she goes over to their house and talk to her because my mom knows how big of a crush, I have on her. I have tried to go over there a few times but every time I get to her front steps I turn around and go back to my house because I'm such a chicken. I tried to even talk to her on Halloween.
So, everyone knows that dressing up and going trick or treating on Halloween is for kids but for high school students it's all about dressing up and partying unless you get stuck watching younger siblings. My parents don't care if I throw a party at our house as long as nothing gets broke, and no cops show up. They will supply us with the drinks but the want me to buy the decorations, food, set it up, and plan everything. Every year of high school year I throw a Halloween party, well this year she came. I was shocked to see her at another one of my parties because she didn't seem to go to many events with a lot of people. This was the second party she had come to, and I hold a lot of parties threw out the year. She came as goth zombie. She didn't have to do much to pull that costume off. She wore her normal black ripped jeans and combat boots. She wore an old ripped up t-shirt and splattered blood all over her. Her makeup was pretty simple all she did was make her eyes seem sunk in, which didn't take much because she seems not to sleep very much and splatter more blood on her face.
I guess with the how much I have talked about her I have barely said anything about myself which is odd because I use to only talk about myself, girls, and baseball. My name is Blake, I'm 17, a junior in high school, and I think I've fallen in love with the new girl in town.
