"Ms. Pathetic lawyer, keep your eyes straight before I gouge your eyes; I don't like some dirty eyes on my man." Ella's voice was even colder than the ice; she was beyond furious.
When everyone was busy looking at Ella, a small smile spread across someone's face. Aubrey's lips curled a little when he heard her say he's her man.
He knew she could win any war. Her arrogance and confidence is the most beautiful ornaments on her, and he loves this side of her.
That's why he has to stay away from her; he doesn't want to ruin her; if they find out his secret, they will point their finger at her dignity, and he doesn't want that at any cost.
"Mrs. Knight, mind your language" Jen Carson suddenly felt furious. How dare she call her pathetic lawyer, people have to wait years before getting a meeting schedule from her assistant, yet she called her profession like this?
There was no way Jen Carson could digest this.
"I don't want to; what can you do? Ella smirked playfully, but the coldness in her voice was only in charge. She never lowered her head, not to anyone other than her father; not even Aubrey got such treatment.
Although she loves Aubrey without limit, her father is the only one who deserves his respect because, in this life, he swears to love only his mother.
A woman who died over 20 years ago, yet he never looked at other women, only she knows how much pain her father hid in his heart, so even he scolds her and caresses her. She feels sweet.
But Aubrey said he liked her and promised to marry her, but when the time came, he stepped back; he said he loves this hypnotic woman, Charlotte, it's her choice to love him, and it's her choice whom to give the highest position in her life.
Jen Carson is already flushed with rage. Why would she dare humiliate him like that? This woman has gone over the edge of her patience.
"Mrs. Knight, do you think I really can't do anything to you, don't kid me, if I want, I can bring you down, think before saying anything, you don't have any idea what I can do if I want to the king's empire, so stay within your limits."
Jen Carson was not someone who would take a step back if someone stepped on her heels, but she didn't get it; someone more vicious than her screwed her up.
She did not know whether she wanted to laugh at the arrogance of this woman; she wanted to defy her; what did she want to do? To harm the king's empire, she asks to be killed.
Everyone was amazed, Jen Carson wanted to defy; this was not an ordinary business or business enterprise. They are international; without their order, nobody could do business in a country, and they have the same potent effect on the international market.
Ella finally failed to stay mum; she burst into laughter; her laughter made the air quite awkward. Apart from Aubery and Ella, everybody thought of what would happen next.
They were terrified and surprised, but they were waiting for something to happen. They know they're going to kill another. Both are powerful in A country.
She finally ceased to laugh, and transformed her face into the devil of hell; her eyes bore a fire sufficient to burn everyone.
She took her phone and called a number, and soon the soft voice of a girl came from her phone. She placed it on the speaker.
"Ma'am," a girl's gentle voice came over her phone.
"Annie, put my lawyer on the phone right now," Ella calmly ordered her; Annie was a wise girl. She immediately connected the lawyer to Ella's cell.
Soon, the voice of a man joined them in "ma'am" which he respectfully called Ella.
"Steven, if I kill somebody powerful in front of 20 or 30 people, tell me, what percentage are you sure I can avoid going to jail?
Ella's question strikes everybody off guard. They thought she was going to use her lawyer to prosecute the Carson family, but who thought she was talking directly about somebody's murder.
The Carson family turned pale; they were furious. Mr. Carson felt mad, but he knew they screwed up with the wrong guy.
Jen Carson was shocked too, but she showed no expression; she's tough. She knows who Steven is; he is the only one who could stand against her, he's such a young man, yet he suppressed every best lawyer and reached an international level. There's no way anyone can win against him.
"100% sure, madam, just doesn't leave any fingerprint; it's quite troublesome," the lawyer answered as if she was asking to kill a mosquito.
Everybody's jaws came off in shock. What did the guy say? Has he lost his mind? He ought to keep her from talking nonsense.
Aubrey was going crazy; he was holding back a lot of laughter. He knows everyone around him, as insane as she is. They know her temperament and character very well, and they believe that everything is good for them as long as the king of Ella told them.
"Okay, don't worry, I won't," she cut the call. Everybody was sighing when they saw it. But it's still not over.
She dialed her elder brother's number, everyone holding back their breath.
Eric got Ella's call right away; he already knew where she was; he was expecting her call.
He wanted to rush to her, but he knew she could handle it on her own.
"Ella," he said nicely. He was like a patient dad waiting for his daughter to say anything he wanted.
"Brother, if I kill a powerful person in front of 20 or 30 people, do you think people could put me in jail? She asked her brother the same thing.
Eric remained silent for a second and said, "No, they can't," he said strongly. It shocked everyone when he responded.
"Why? Ella asked once more.
"Because I will silence the rest of them forever,"
