The only people with enough power to defy the high councils were the Kings and the Alphas of each land and with Lucian arrested, the council was in charge.
Katherine shook her head and tears began to spill then her eyes quickly landed on Lord Alexander than had been following them and suddenly she knew what to do.
"You have to help him, please," Katherine said as soon as her eyes landed on Lord Alexander. The council could very easily give Lucian's verdict as guilty and no one would question it. And the very thought of Lucian being beheaded made her feel sick to her stomach.
