Katherine walked back to the theatre box, still confused as to who that was and why the person had grabbed her. She instinctively rubbed her wrist as she sat down and she soon forgot about it.
Katherine had long since stopped paying attention to the play, her thoughts were on Lucian instead.
Her hands trailed over the places he had touched and her cheeks were set aflame as she recalled the evening's events.
She was thinking about Lucian not just because of what had happened on the balcony, but also because of the words she had said to him in the cottage.
When they were in the northern territory, Lucian told her that he would wait for her feelings towards him to change and until she no longer feared him. And at first, that was all she wanted but now she wasn't sure.
