From the time of his arrival to late evening, Lucian had been in the royal courtroom. He had addressed a few issues between the nobles, everything from complaints to land disputes as this was the duty of a King.
During this time, Lucian had briefly glanced over the records John Walter had given him about the witch trials, hoping to sway Lucian's decision. But it did not affect as Lucian threw aside the scrolls nonchalantly and dealt with the next matter.
John's efforts to change Lucian's decision were noble, but they were futile.
John truly believed that hunting those with magic was not the solution to an already divided kingdom. But perhaps if he knew what Lucian did, his views would be different.
By mid-afternoon, most of the nobles had been dismissed. Within a day, Lucian had managed to resolve most of the pressing issues that required his attention.
